Show countdown to event on calendar icon
There's a Chrome Extension for Google Calendar called "Checker Plus for Google Calendar." Among other features it places a calendar icon with the day's date in the Chrome toolbar, just like the icon on the right of the Proton Mail app. However, it also overlays a box with a countdown to the next event ("2 days," "1 day", "6 hours," "44 min," etc.)
It would be fantastic to have something like that overlayed on the Proton Calendar icon in the app. It helps me remember that I've got a thing coming up.
You can get a sense of it in…

Option for persistent notification pop-ups
Currently alert popups appear for a few seconds and then disappear.
Add setting to allow notification pop-ups to persist and accumulate. First one triggers at 9:00 and stays visible. Second one triggers at 9:30 and appears with the first one. Others added later as they trigger.
Act on them individually to dismiss, snooze, or edit. Also provide snooze all and dismiss all.
Whether all or individually, Snooze option offers a few standard durations, one of them a user-defined default which is editable.

Ability to place timed events above all day entries
If there are a too many entries for a date so that some are hidden , timed events should be placed at the top because they are more critical.

Time Zone labels and intelligence
This might not be applicable in all time zones in the world, but in Canada we often use time zone labels like ET (Eastern Time), or more specifically EST (Eastern Standard Time) or EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) and in my experience these are more common than specifying GMT offset.
Figuring out what GMT offset to use can be a memory challenge, despite the inclusion of notable cities in the list. And indeed these labels/offsets shift during the year - see our contentious daylight-savings time shifts - and I wouldn't be surprised if they get other changes over time.

Change Notifications for a meetings so that I can choose 3 of them one 2 hours in advance, second 1 hours, and 3.10 default
Change Notifications for a meetings so that I can choose 3 of them one 2 hours in advance, second 1 hours, and 3.10 as default setting as it is important to join meetings I book.
Study if SMS can be used as notification as that is immediately reach instead of email.

Add attachments to events
It would be very helpful/useful/convenient if file attachments could be added to calendar events... this would minimize having to search through drive to bring up a document that is related to an event.

icon coded
Hi, I would really like the ability to have a selection of icons incorporated that each email would fall under. I would use these icons to place the logo's of clients and thus it would allow me to filter by logo's. I would then like this to transition over to the calendar section so the logo would be within the calendar preview of who I am meeting with.

weekday
When customizing an event to repeat, if we select only weekdays or weekends, the app displays every weekday or staurday + sunday.
I propose that if you repeat an event every week on weekdays or weekend days only, the app simply says "repeats every weekday" or "repeats every weekend".1 vote -
SCROLLING !
"Please, consider adding scrolling functionality to your calendar. It's much more convenient to scroll down using the mouse wheel."
Scrolling down is easier because it requires less effort and allows users to navigate through a large amount of content quickly, especially when compared to clicking through pages or sections.

Hourly Event Repetition
Currently, users can set events to repeat every X days, weeks, months, or years. However, it would be beneficial to include the option for events to repeat every X hours as well.
This feature would be particularly useful in scenarios such as:
Medication Reminders: Users could set reminders for medications that need to be taken every few hours throughout the day.
Work Shifts: Users with irregular work shifts could schedule reminders for shift changes at intervals of a few hours.
Task Management: Users could create tasks that repeat every few hours for activities like drinking water, stretching breaks, or checking…

“Return” key?
Why is there no “Return” key available when trying to edit (within the Description section); instead “Done” is only available?

Response time?
Why does the system buffer for few seconds each time a new item is entered; it would be much more efficient and user friendly if immediate?

Allowing big calenders from published ICS (Outlook)
I'm currently trying to show my corporate calendar in Proton, using the Outlook publish function. In the default iOS app this works flawlessly.
in proton I get a error 'Not syncing' 'Too big'. Indeed it's a big calendar, but this should not be an issue. Google/iOS have no issues with this size.

Time fields should not require typing a colon
Calendar (web): When you create an event and you tab into a time field, if you type the time without colons (eg
1123
) it should be accepted as11:23
, meanwhile only11
is understood, and when you blur the field, the value gets validated down to11:00
. It should understand the full value without user typing the colon.1 vote -
Family Planner View
To use proton calendar as a family planer it would be very useful to have a view that displays the days in rows and the different calendars as columns. Given that every family member has his/her own calendar, this view would generate a nice overview of what appointments everyone has on a specific day.
