Mobile widget
Hi! I recently took upon the task of Customizing both my Phones, And out of boredom i found out that Proton actually has no widget support whatsoever, across all their services.
As a Proton Unlimited user, I would sincerely love to see Widgets being implemented. Perhaps for the Calendar app we could have something simple such as “Next in line”.. and it lists upcoming events.
Nothing too complicated, I’d leave it to the Proton Team to be creative with the Widgets. Nevertheless would be a cool add-on.

Show Word Count
ProtonMail is often used for Email Counselling where there is a need to stick to a word limit.
Myself and many of my counselling colleagues would find it very useful to have a word counter tool on draft emails to avoid pasting confidential words elsewhere to check the word limit.
Ideally this feature would work like microsoft word whereby the word counter automatically updates as you wirte.
To stay ahead in this field and avoid us moving to other email services please consider adding this feature.

A contacts app with dialer functionality which allows privacy of saved contacts. An app that allows to make call and send SMS or encrypted messages to other Proton users.

Allow email notifications for service outages
The status.proton.me page doesn't allow email notifications, only Slack, webhooks, RSS feeds, etc. It would be helpful to allow users to use an outside email address to stay up to date on service outages.

Respond inline on desktop
Works on phone app - be consistent and allow to Respond In-line. I hate having people to open up something in an email I forward - they see a blank email until they select to "open" the forward. Who did the bug oversight with such bad inconsistency?

Show release notes pop up
All Proton applications are rapidly evolving. It would be awesome to provide a summary of changes when users open the app for the first time after an update.

dark
The dark theme on Drive and VPN is a nightmare: to have grey or dark purple text on a black background is ludicrous. who can read that? Maybe this works great for gamers who sit in a dark room all their lives and their eyes can distinguish between black and very dark grey but I think most people like some clearer distinction. Maybe it looks "cool", but it is impractical and annoying.
I am really struggling to the point of thinking of cancelling my Proton subscription. We can select a lighter theme for web services why not for the desktop…2 votes -
Text message
Proton messaging app
I would like to see a proton messaging app which sends and receives end-to-end encrypted messages. Messages should be able to be received on Apple messages or other text messaging platforms. The option would be given to have it appear locked on the recipients end in Apple messages and you can open it with a code. You would also be able to receive messages from any messaging app.
I am aware that there are messaging apps out there but they are a closed system as far as I’m aware.

Allow a default app from the sign-in screen
I find the new "Welcome screen" that requires you to select from a list of apps quite annoying, it would be nice to be able to set a default app that allows you to skip this.

I only want to activate 1 hotkey, the s-move to spam, i dont want all the other hotkeys. Why they should be there? For missclicks?

Desktop App Packaged for Arch Linux and Others
I see that there is a desktop app packaged for Debian and Fedora based distros. It would be great to have a desktop app that could be installed directly as an Arch package. Alternatively, a flatpack, AppImage, homebrew package, or some other distro agnostic binary would be useful, too.

Monthly Billing
Is there any way to pay the billing on a monthly basis instead of having to pay it all at once for the entire year? It would be really helpful if there was an option to do so, especially for Brazilian users.

Dedicated support ticket page
It would be great if we as users could login to the Zendesk page to have an overview of all our tickets. Many companies (e.g. Corsair, Withings) have implemented this already. That would make it easier to view the recent activity of a current ticket and reply to it instead of only through notifications per mail.
Also, when submitting a ticket via the ticket form (https://proton.me/support/contact) the written message and details are not contained in the notification email you get after you have sent it.

Proton Drive for macOS Monterrey and MacBook Air 2017
Hello developpers !
Can you make an update of Proton Drive for MacOS, that allows us to use it on former mac. Currently, we need to have macOS 13 or 14, but for exeample, MacBook Air 2017 only works until macOS 12 Monterrey.
Can you make an app like Proton mail Beta for macOS that works on Monterrey please. It will be very usefull for members who have a premium plan.

Select all messages in search results
Add an option to select all search results, in the same manner that you can select all messages in inbox or other folders when you click on the "select all" checkbox:
"You selected 50 messages. Select all in Sent."
One thing this will allow users to do is search for sent message older than a certain date and delete them all. As it stands, we have to go through and delete them 50 messages at a time.

image manipulation
It would be really useful to allow manipulating embedded images in emails. At least move and resize them easily like in outlook or many others.
