I would like a similar experience in the browser that we have with the mobile app. Set an expiration where the user can still unlock quickly with PIN.
A trusted computer browser stores the main logon cookie with no expiration. But this cookie only has an encrypted blob that cannot access the mailbox alone. The 2nd cookie set to expire in X minutes/hours must be combined with a user supplied PIN, and that will decrypt the non-expiring main cookie blob, which logs the user back into the mailbox.755 votes
ProtonMail Bridge has bugs integrating with the Mailspring email client. The Mailspring team have expressed interest in working together to get these issues resolved. If the bugs could be fixed and the Bridge could get working with Mailspring it would be a great productivity booster!134 votes
Country config only give access to the basic servers even for Plus subscribers. This limits the number of IPs which are randomly cycled through by a Plus user and takes away a lot of incentive to upgrade.
It would be useful to have Plus specific country config files.96 votes
The Lightning Network is in beta, but it allows for instant payments (no confirmations) and almost 0% fees, provided the user has a channel open. You already accept Bitcoin... and the Lightning Network is a major upgrade to way people will use BTC to make payments. If you do it soon, you will also get a P.R. boost, as it will inevitably be mentioned in the Bitcoin media.471 votes
1 user, 1 domain = 48€/year
If you need 2 users, 1 domain = 150€/year
Why a so big price increase when you need 2 users ? Could you have an better offer, for example at 70€/year. Seems more logical.

It would be great if each user could modify the default level required in SpamAssassin (4) to another value (e.g. 5 if too many legitimate mails land in the spam folder).182 votes
As long as my other idea (https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-feedback/suggestions/34132327-spamassassin-set-required-level-for-each-user-sep) is not yet implemented:
Set required level in SpamAssassin more conservatively as suggested by SpamAssassin:
Default (for single-user setup) is 5 - for ISPs they suggest that "you should probably set the default to be more conservative, like 8.0 or 10.0". ProtonMail sets the value to 4 for all users! That is too low!147 votes
It would be great to copy messages grouping from web version to mobile app (Android). Without this feature it's really hard to use Protonmail on mobile.
Thank you!8 votes
Every other major (and many minor) email clients have hierarchical folders - organizing emails is not a discretionary function. Proton Mail should have:
1. Nested folders (critical)
2. Unlimited nesting (important) - a reasonable compromise would be 2 or 3 levels of nesting.
3. Drag n Drop sorting (critical)
4. Search options that reflect hierarchies (all folders / sub folders / this folder) (important)
5. Color inheritance (from the top-most folder in a group (not important)
I can't fully migrate off my other emails until this basic functionality is supported.22 votes
I want to use Proton Bridge but I can't because I am not a paid subscriber.
I want to pay but you make it very difficult to find where to sign up and begin paying.
I've searched high and low but cannot find it.
Make it easy to find.....1 vote
Do not allow that you can log into the account with every address.
Perfect would be if you would have the choice what address can be used in order to log into your account.
With the current way you have to give away your login username in order to send emails. Hiding the username from the public would be an advantage, since they would have to guess your username and the password. Not only one of them.592 votes
It would be great that we can apply newly created filters on the mailbox.
Most Spam I get comes with the same title 'AMONE' but different email addresses so I can't stop them from clogging my in box. If we could use 'Key Words' along with or in place of addresses it could go a long way in stopping Spam.2 votes
Show count for trash folder in web app sidebar like you do for inbox, starred, spam and labels.2 votes
I want to use more than three folders, but I don't need anything else that comes with an upgrade so why can't I buy folder access seperately OR pay less (a dollar a month/dollar per folder, etc...) for features like folder use without the extras. OR you could just give free users access to unlimited folders like EVERY OTHER email provider. Please, this is a bigger problem then some people realize.2 votes
Expand search on filters
- allow to search a label and a folder
- allow to search a label and/or a label and/or a label
- allow to search (a label and/or a label) and a folder
Then I can look for different aspects of the same directory.6 votes
The power of labels lies in the ability to have multiple labels per email.
At the moment, when there are more than 1 labels assigned to an email, they are stacked and you can only see the top one, having to hover over it to expand them and see the rest.
This negates the whole point of having multiple labels as an easy visual way to identify the labelled emails.
It would be much better for productivity and ease of use if multiple labels were unstacked and shown fully.2 votes
That would be great if protonmail provides a large amount of cloud storage (1TB or more) like google drive or one drive for emails and file sharing with reasonable price.12 votes
As a protonmail+ user using a custom domain I shouldn't have to use a filter to have my custom domain emails show up in my main inbox. I would suggest having multiple inboxes under 1 account. What I mean is you sign in with your email and you have an inbox for email@example.com, another mailbox for firstname.lastname@example.org, and another for email@example.com . Under each of these inboxes they can all have their own spam and archive folders and whatnot. This would be much nicer, but for some users as well who prefer a unified inbox protonmail could automatically color code the mail so it is apparent which address it was sent to. This is my biggest gripe with protonmail at the moment, but if this is implemented it would be amazing.
