Folders and Subfolders creation for clean organization
We need folders and subfolders IMAP capabilities
Without folders organization the mailbox is unmanageable

Just one folder called Archive will do to start with. Same functionality as trash but only manual delete....please!!!

Same for me, I have a lot of e-mails regarding multiple cases I 'am working on, but there is currently no way to manage the files. Protonmail is promising to introduce this feature soon, but that was already months and multiple updates ago.

Labels and filters like Gmail please! Tutanota's folders are not very useful or flexible without automatic filters...

It's a must, that's why I use Tutanota at the moment. I really need to be able to organize my mails for friends/work/studies/etc.

I would give this idea all ten of mine as well if I could. It would be excellent if we had a way to utilize even limited folder organization! Here's hoping to see this added in the next update.

@FHT : Yes "far far fewer votes" thats why i created this one

I agree, the folder structure is important - any kind. What I need is to store those Emails other place than in the inbox what I don't want to delete immediately. Thank you very much!

Similar idea: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-feedback/suggestions/7137183-folders-tabs-labels
Far far fewer votes, but official and has a "Started" status.

I agree with Ol. Having a system 'Archive' folder (like Gmail, Fastmail, the now defunct Opera, etc.) would be great with a button up to archive with a single click. And a keyboard shortcut would be nice.
(Frankly, I know nothing about the technical side of email systems, but I can't understand why creating one Archive folder (in anticipation of allowing users to create and manage other folders) would take so long for guys with your technical skill. One-man email services can do this in no time.) ??
Anyway, thanks for your work on Protonmail. Looking forward to more goodies in 2015. :-)

Hi guys
we appreciate your work! Folder functionality is definitely the major 'gap' at the moment. -

it would also be nice if we could setup that a email from a certain email address automaticly goes into the pre selected folder

Please,do consider such an important issue:
without folders,is too messy,too uneficient.A paradox!
Many thanks for your service.

I agree functionality for arranging mail should exist, however I think tags would be much more flexible in use. Such as how gmail arranged it. Anyway, here's a vote up!

A folder system is pretty essential, and I'd like to vote this one 10 times
And keep up the great work! -

Don't forget to add at least the ability to transfer an email to a specified "archive" folder with a shortcut, like the "e" = (move to) "archive" in gmail, it's such a useful feature to declutter our inbox.

If I could give all of my votes to this, I would. I would like to be able to save important messges while also applying "inbox zero" to Protonmail. A lack of folders is limiting my use of the service.
