  4. Switch protonmail.com to proton.me

For all usernames, both are blocked, as @pm.me (as reception address) is assigned to them. Some time ago, new users could only choose between @protonmail.ch and @protonmail.com - there was no @proton.me option.

Hence, it would be nice to allow older users using the @proton.me address for sending and receiving - as it already exists on the servers, anyway.

  5. shorten protonmail to pmail

Just like when Google started with the Gmail service, back then it was @googlemail, which is not so good compared with the short @gmail name.
What if ProtonMail stars something like "@pmail.com"?

  6. PLEASE make it easy for me to tell ProtonMail that a message is NOT Spam

It is already annoying when ProtonMail dumps a valid message into the spam folder. You refuse to give users the option to turn off the spam filter (Why???? - Why take that choice away from users?)

I want a single button that I can immediately select that says (THIS IS NOT SPAM!) As far as I can tell, I have to go hunt down the spam interface, re-learn your UI, and manually type in the email address (and it is NOT EASY to cut-and-paste an email address) and go through a bunch of awkward steps.

    Please address this …

  9. ProtonMail Bridge for Linux

I don't have a Windows or OSX machine, so ProtonMail Bridge doesn't appear to be an option for me. Is there any way Bridge for Linux could happen? The site says it's coming soon, but when is soon?

There are already great mail clients on Android and iOS available. It would be nice if I could use them with protonmail as well.

  11. Allow PGP encrypted mails to non protonmail contacts

If I want to send an encrypted mail to a non protonmail E-Mail address I can't do that right now (I mean besides that link thing)

Please add in the contacts section a way to upload the public key of a non protonmail user. That way we would be capable to send and receive PGP (GnuPG) encyrpted mails from others.

  13. ProtonMail Linux Bridge with headless server support

It would be very useful to be able to configure the Protonmail bridge through the terminal so that it can be integrated into other systems such as Nextcloud

  14. Protonmail / pm.me alias for multi-user

The Visionary plan offers multi-user support. However, for sub-users (not primary account user), any user alias is based on a custom domain only and not pm.me / protonmail is not available.
However, the primary account user can choose to create an alias for a custom domain, pm.me or protonmail.
That flexibility should be extended to the sub-users to provide the same anonymity options for sub-users, i.e., children or primary account owner.

  15. Informing ProtonMail users about potentially unsafe messages

    Hi,

I would like to see this feature added to ProtonMail.

When a ProtonMail user sends email to other email service or receives email from other email service, then ProtonMail will indicate / highlight...
    a) When a received message was not encrypted (TLS)
    b) When composing a message to a recipient whose email service doesn't support TLS encryption, or when the sender’s domain couldn't be authenticated. An indicator before sending a message to a service that doesn't support TLS encryption

This will be useful, as the user can find out if email (sent / received) is encrypted in transit when…

  16. Avatar icons for senders in the Protonmail interface

Something like this unofficial addon for Chrome - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/protonmail-avatars/oeafplhigdpghchmklofmblpkhonkhon

Ideal way (for me) - is yandex UI for this feature.

  18. Allow new users (proton.me) to use legacy domain (protonmail.com)

"proton.me" and "pm.me" (current) is short and good, but few services--such as PlayStation account--does not accept both domain. However, when I test "protonmail.com" (legacy) as a domain, it got accepted, but it cannot retrieve mail simply because I am new to Proton Mail, so I don't own the domain.
Anyway, about the PlayStation account, I had to use my Google Mail (gmail.com).

Please provide the option to use the legacy domain for new users. It will be useful for anyone who had similar issue as me. Sorry and thank you.

  20. API for sending emails through ProtonMail similar to AWS SES

I am looking to send emails from my monitoring service using the domain I have set up on ProtonMail. It would be easier/more secure to have email for my domain sent through ProtonMail's servers. I am not looking for a high volume of email, just a handful of nightly status emails (~5-10). Rather than misappropriate the ProtonMail Bridge software, I'd like to use an API so that I can programmatically send emails on the terms the ProtonMail team deems to be reasonable for API-based mail sending. API-based mail send allows for a more intelligent approach to sending email as an…
