Contacts being buried down at the bottom of the scrollbar in iOS is extremely annoying. A separate contacts app would be ideal

I hope the Proton Team will work on a contacts app soon. As many users have said, this is the missing piece for getting Proton Unlimited.

If this feature were available, I would consider subscribing to the Unlimited plan.

Having to scroll down the sidebar on the iOS app to find the details of a contact is indeed very, very cumbersome ! Having a standalone contacts app would be ideal.

Please bring this feature!

This is soooo overdue and I don't think its as technically challenging as some of the other recent applications they have rolled out. Proton.... listen to your customers and make the contacts app a reality!

Since contacts already synchronize across devices and work pretty nice in general, wouldn't it be easy to make a barebone version with already available features, just adding a dialer and possibly making it a standalone app?
I saw a synchronization with built in contacts is planned, but sharing all contacts data with Google is something the majority of Proton users might want to avoid I guess.

This is the last missing piece in the proton universe.

1) I do not see any SEARCH ability to find a name in my contact list
2) I do not see any ability to sort my contacts by LAST NAME rather than first name

This would be a HUGE improvement; actual Protonmail allows for storing contacts but only for emails. An actual Contacts app that can replace default apps on Android/iOS would be amazing to ditch Google Contacts.

Please implement this in your next "change order" or "sprint cycle". Enable us to completely separate ourselves from the BigTech web. Far too long have these walled gardens kept us constrained and vulnerable to their ownership.

Dedicated IOS Contacts app would round out an already great suite of tools.

If Proton create a softphone app, then please integrate it with that as well. Being able to associate different contacts with burner phone numbers would be awesome.

This is critical. Also integrate Contacts with Calendar.. so calendar shows birthdays and anniversaries specified in a contact.

Oh also I'm not sure about integrating with the on-phone contacts. Seems like that would compromise security. But I guess what people really mean is to be able to save contact information to the app easily, and one-click phone calls and email (which I believe already works for contacts in Proton Mail).
