How can we improve Proton Mail?

  2. Be able to assign CC & BCC contacts in a Group Contact

    It would be nice to have the ability to choose who is listed in the "TO" field, "CC" field, and "BCC" field inside of a Group Contact.

    For instance, I create a Group called "WORK GROUP" with Email1, Email2, & Email3 and I always want Email3 to be in the CC field.

    Then when I compose an email and select "WORK GROUP" I get

    TO: Email1, Email2
    CC: Email3

    Rather than having to create separate groups for each field.

    Google has an inactive account manager, we need one in protonmail now that I have moved all my ecommerce, financial, legal, and business activity to protonmail. My wife will need access if something happens to me so that accounts don't fall into arrears or default.

  9. Save the email frame as mhtml

    I would like to be able to save the email frame as mhtml. Most email programs allow this. Example: Save the registration info for purchased apps. I save this in a folder with the downloaded exe file. Protonmail saves the entire webpage when I right click and save.

    The contacts sidebar is good for quick lookups but we need a more advanced view that functions like a contacts database manager. Include support for custom fields and file attachments. Look at classic address book software like Windows Address Book, Outlook, and Efficient Address Book for examples of what I'm talking about.

  14. Allow option to disable the 2FA 8 digit static recovery codes

    I am concerned that Proton's 2FA static 8 digit Recovery Codes are very easy to "brute force" attack. Proton gives the user an option to "Use Recovery Code" instead of using the 6 digit 2FA TOTP code generated by an authenticator app. If the user enters the wrong recovery code several times it defaults back to the password/username screen, but an automated program could very simply circumvent this.

    I don't understand why the best approach isn't for the user to simply safely store the much stronger original "seed token" (QR code) generated by Proton and use this as the recovery…

  15. Turn off email archive and email scheduling

    Proton needs a professor to teach a class , The program has gotten so complicated with so many off the wall features the staff cannot even handle all the issues. Do not need a scheduling service, archive , cloud, drive vpn etc . Just go back to basic and do what proton did best MAIL , nowadays I to have go make a hour long study to figure out how to turn off or manage a new proton feature .
