Edit email in HTML and CSS for power users
It would be nice to have the option to do custom HTML/CSS when sending an email. Most other email clients don't have this feature or have their limits on a feature like this, and so there is A LOT of potential for Proton to easily compete in this category.
Proton currently has an option to switch over to plain text, but that seems more like a notepad/wordpad thing than a place for power users who would like to custom-write HTML for their emails. In fact, the plain text feature that currently exists feels like what I'd expect back in the…

Edit/add participants on existing events
I received a booking email and Proton offered me to add the event to my calendar. Once it was created, I wanted to add participants, which seems to be not possible. It would be great to be able to edit the participants list on existing events, without having to create another one.

Grouped Calendar Toggles
I'd like folders for my other calendars so I can toggle them all at once.
For example, I'd like to have a folder called "Work" under which 3 calendars reside and have one button which toggles them all on and off.
I have multiple calendars from other people which are useful to view but otherwise clutter my calendar too much, so I often have to go and enable/disable many calendars in bulk, even though I basically want to just toggle the set of "calendars for this person/theme".

Remember or set default mailbox sort
Every time I open Proton Mail I must select my preferred inbox/folder sort. For web, I can bookmark the query parameter, e.g.
https://mail.proton.me/u/0/inbox#sort=date. Still, it's impossible to bookmark a view on Proton Desktop (Mail, Calendar), so I must select my preferred sort manually each time I open the Desktop app.I'd love for Mail to either remember my previously-selected sort, or to allow me to define a default sort.

dark mode toggle in-app
The mobile apps need to have a dark mode toggle just like the web version. I want to keep my device in light mode but have this app in dark mode just like every other company offers but for some reason it only syncs with your device theme. It exists for the web version so why is it overlooked in the mobile apps?

Add attachments to events
It would be very helpful/useful/convenient if file attachments could be added to calendar events... this would minimize having to search through drive to bring up a document that is related to an event.

Add an option for dimming folders without unread messages
Currently all folders in the sidebar have bright titles. I would suggest an option to enable dimming of folders, views, and labels with no unread messages to make these stand out. Compared Thunderbird that uses colour and bold font to highlight unread messages. Categories (More, Folders, Labels) could assume the same highlight and unread count on the right when collapsed.

Add Event Duration to Widget
The existing widget provides an overview of the current day’s events, but ignores event duration. A widget that displays the day exactly like in the actual calendar (with different event lengths and gaps) is missing. In that regard, you would even be ahead of Google.

Daily event summaries
Summary:
Receive a daily summary for all time-specific and all-day events (also if no events are scheduled)Description:
Some calendar applications allow you to configure a "daily event summary" notification (preferably via email). Such summaries contain an overview of all scheduled events (all-day and specific-time events) and is sent early in the morning. For example, Google Calendar provides "Daily Agenda", described as: "Receive an email with your agenda every day at 5 a.m. in your current time zone").Ideal implementation (to me):
- Create an account-wide setting to configure daily summaries:
* Globally enable/disable daily calendar/event summaries
* If enabled,…8 votes -

Open file or folder after saving attachment
I am using the Proton Mail Desktop app.
The first thing i want to do after saving a mail attachment is to open that file or folder.
My feature request is to show an option to open the saved attachment from the stored location or open the folder to e.g. extract the zip file.
At the moment, i first need to navigate to the folder i want to store the attachment. Then i need to open Windows File Explorer to navigate again to that folder.
Other software does have exactly that option e.g. MS Edge web browser. There i can…

Filter Based On Environment
It would be greatly appreciated if there was the ability to filter existing emails based on environment with a custom sieve filter. There are a number of reasons why this could benefit everyone trying to organize their emails as they adapt into Proton Mail.
Here are my issues with not having this ability:
Importing a large batch of emails with Easy Switch usually calls for manually applying filters to existing mail.
This means all my emails in the trash are relabeled and clutter my label filters. I now have to either delete the trash permanently or move the emails out…2 votes
