fetch mail from external via imap or pop3
It would be good to be able to collect mail from other mail provider on a regular basis.
e. g. yahoo mail does not provide forwarding to other accounts like proton. So I would need to collect/fetch mail from within proton using pop3 or imap credentials of yahoo.
currently proton does not support this and I need to use e. g. gmail to fetch from yahoo via pop3 and then let gmail forward to proton.
this is inconvenient as I'd like to manage email accounts as "directly" as possible

Allow encrypting protonmail app for linux/encrypt messages saved offline
I'd like to be able to encrypt the app itself & messages in the same way I can on the open-source protonmail client called ElectronMail ( https://github.com/vladimiry/ElectronMail). This allows me to save messages offline and keep them in an encrypted database as well as encrypting local access to the account that I saved login for. Currently the official linux beta app for mail does not allow securing the app itself at all!

Title: Customisable ProtonMail Widget for Android
Idea: Develop a versatile Android widget for ProtonMail that offers multiple size options (1x1 to 4x4). The widget should display recent email previews, unread message count, and include buttons for quick inbox access and email composition. Users should be able to customise the widget's appearance, such as colour scheme and information density, to suit their preferences and home screen layout.

Email translator
It would be extremely important for Proton Mail to have a simultaneous translator to translate emails and, if possible, with integrated AI.

SimpleLogin compatibility in Security Center
Allow all Simple Login Alias's to be viewable in the ProtonMail sidebar Security Center. It's an obvious addition, and I'm surprised it isn't already part of the Security Center feature.

Highlight last opened email title in view list
This feature was available then it disappeared. While reading several emails, I want to know which one was opened last when getting back and forth to list view. It was very useful. It used to be a thin purple border on the left side of email title (list view).

Filter customization on mobile
As the title says, would be a nice feature to view and edit filters directly from the mobile app so that we don't have to access from the website (or desktop app) if we need to just change a small thing on a filter or check what are their configurations.

Block access from Country
Hello
My suggestion is to add a feature to block all logins attempt for IP/Country.
For example, I want to enable just IP's address from Brazil to login on my Protonmail or just Japan for example, and a option to lock all other countries/IP address.
Thanks

Ability to create a quick rule in the menu when clicking on an email address
When I click on an email address when viewing an email, I get options. I'd like for some of them to be quick rules, like "add tag", "move to folder", "mark as read", etc.

Protonmail chats
A feature similar to google chats on protonmail, either through existing infrastructure or maybe through something else (like xmpp or signal protocol) either built into the protonmail app or on a separate app

Add a download option for email attachments in the android app.
Proton mail app does not give a download option for attachments, like gmail, etc. I get a .pdf attachment, and proton says I can't open it. I can open pdf files on my phone, but when I try to open a pdf attachment in proton mail, it says no app can perform this action. If I cant download it, I can't open it. Should I have to use another email service, or spend a bunch of time trying to get it through drive?

Allow new email rule creation on right-click in inbox.
Allowing users to right-click on an email to begin the process of making a new email rule would be an increase in productivity. The right-click menu right now is small. This is okay, but there is room to add a few common setting options, this being one of them.
To clarify, it would be better if all the rule-making happened in a separate window, this way users do not need to click the "<-- Inbox" link just to go back to email inbox. Imagine setting several email rules this way, it provides friction that doesn't need to exist.

Allow to filter emails by alias
The user should be allowed to filter their emails in the mailbox based on each email alias they're having. Like the folders feature, but instead of creating a category, the email alias would be the filter.

Email Icons in Android App
The images / icons that appear next to items in my inbox do not appear in the Android app (e.g. an email from Proton support should show the Proton logo). I find it much harder to quickly find emails in the Android app without that differentiation. The mobile web version displays the icons / images, but not the mobile app.

Option to hide Proton Mail Bridge app on macOS
If the Bridge app has to be running all the time to make Proton Mail work in other clients, like Apple Mail, I wish there was a way to hide the app so the icon doesn’t occupy space in my dock or tab switcher.
