show attachment on top of messages
By defaul proton add attachement at the end of message.
in case of long thread you have to scroll down the whole message in order to check attachments. Adding attachement right after the "header" would be nice4 votes -
Proof of life for the digital inheritance
My suggestion is for a feature that would be very useful for those who have valuable information to pass on to their descendants or loved ones.
In Proton mail it would be as simple as sending emails to preconfigured addresses containing some information (could be a treasure map that only the recipient understands, to find some valuable information or item), but only when the account inactivity is for more than the configured time span. More than a year for example.
This would be very useful in some bitcoin inheritance schemes for example.

Seamless Migration from HostGator to Office 365 for Enhanced Productivity
Migrating from HostGator to Office 365 empowers businesses with a modern, robust, and feature-rich platform for email and collaboration. While HostGator provides basic email hosting, Office 365 offers a complete suite of productivity tools such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint to improve workflows and communication.
One of the significant benefits of migrating to Office 365 is the scalability it provides. Businesses can easily add or remove users, access advanced features, and manage emails seamlessly without worrying about storage constraints. Moreover, Office 365 ensures uninterrupted access to emails, calendars, and files across multiple devices, enabling remote work flexibility.

CardDAV synchronization for Proton Mail desktop client
Proton Mail comes with great features like an address book (Contacts) within Proton Mail and Proton Calendar.
However, due to the privacy nature of zero knowledge (encryption), Proton cannot offer a way to provide their own CardDAV endpoint without either storing the (encrypted) secret/encryption key in their database (bad) or relying on the client to submit the secret/encryption key in every request (very bad).
I use a Nextcloud service to synchronize my contacts and appointments via CardDAV and CalDAV across several endpoint device classes. For example my dedicated VoIP phones, routers with VoIP servers inside, smartphones, and email clients.

Integrate Proton Mail with Proton Drive - add/save attachments from/to Proton Drive folder
Hey folks,
It would be great if we could save attachments from an email to a Proton Drive folder, and attach files from Proton Drive to emails, either as a link or as a copy.
Thanks!

Text instead of icons
I'm a new Proton user.
I strongly dislike icons, as I have no idea what any of them mean, and I have no desire to learn what they mean. Mousing over them one by one is arduous.
In GMail, I have always kept the setting for Button Labels set to “text”, not “icons”.
Is this feature available in Proton Mail too, and I just don't see it? It's a deal-breaker for me.
To elaborate on my perspective, written language is our most sophisticated technology, able to clearly express any thinkable thought using only 26 letters. By contrast, icons are a…

Flexible email save format by elements of email
The ability to save each and every email that you select and to do so from pre-set parameters (in settings) such that manual naming becomes void.
It would enable uniform method of saving & naming of each email.
eg: Date ; Time ; From Addressee ; To Addressee ; Subject Line
Sample: 2023-06-13 15.08.48 - Mike Davis MDavis@yahoo.com - abc@protonmail.com - Time to meet tomorrowUsers could then order these as per their desire notwithstanding that date/time would be logical initial parameters. So it could be changed to any format.... Date ; Time ; Subject Line ; To Addressee ;…

Notes & To-Do List Features
To enhance productivity and streamline task management, adding a Notes and To-Do List feature alongside the existing Contacts, Calendar, and Security Center on the right side of the interface would be great additions to the Proton Mail environment. These would make it possible to quickly jot down notes and manage tasks without needing to leave the workspace. The integration would provide easy, on-the-go access to important reminders, and a help to stay organized and on track, all within the same environment.

Differentiate Folders and Labels by Unique Identifier Hash (UUID/GUID)
Hi
Folders and Labels could be preferrably identified by a GUID / UUID hash, stored in an appropriate if necessary database, and be usable across Proton Mail and other Products/Services, if Proton wishes to expand some kind of Drive/Pass/Calendar/ features for Mail in the future.
The name of a Folder and Label would consequentially become just a sub-property type of parameter, a visual description, a display name, and editing it (renaming) would therefore not affect any organizational associations with filters, sorting, and references in other Proton products, since all of that would rely on a stable (permanent? unchangable?) GUID/UUID and…

Always use hide-my-email aliases
Cross-posted from https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonMail/comments/1haf5vn/always_use_hidemyemail_aliases/
TL;DR: Make it possible to enforce that your actual email address is always hidden.
Writing an email to a new recipient via ProtonMail without leaking your address, is a rather annoying exercise. First you have to make an alias (either via ProtonPass or directly in SimpleLogin), then you have to make a reverse alias via SimpleLogin or attach it to a contact via ProtonPass, and finally you can send your email.
There should be a button straight in ProtonMail that just says "hide my email address", and then every recipient (including CC and BCC) is turned into…

Save and Open attachments
Hi,
I receive PDF's all day long and my workflow includes saving them in my work folders and open them instantly.
As of now, Proton Mail is too complicated. I don't need or want to open the PDF inside Proton Mail for a quick view, I need to work with it.When saving the attachment to a folder the Save window does not offer the option to open it (with a selectable [X] Open file option).
This is so counterproductive, because I have to close the windows and go to File Explorer, find the file and open it....
Please, implement…
