How can we improve Proton Mail?

    The ability to show only unread messages in the iOS mobile app should be added.

  2. Password Protected ProtonMail Bridge

    ProntonMail Bridge needs to be protected by password. As anyone who uses the pc, can easily see the mailbox username and password in the bridge. Unless the user remember to logout from the bridge properly each time after used, else the bridge will remember the login credential forever. This is a serious security loophole. Especially for those who share their pc.

  3. Don't require two factor auth on trusted browser

    Once I've entered a 2FA code in a browser, it would be good to have an option to trust the browser and not require the code next time.

    The Android app already seems to do this - it only required a 2FA code the first time I signed in, but the browser requires it every time.

  4. When sending/reading an email show if the email was sent/received securely

    Gmail has this feature where we can see if it's secure or not.

  5. Being able to create custom folders

    You seem to believe that the ability to add folders is "Completed" by telling people to use labels. Color labels just don't cut it.

    All the emails will still reside in my inbox or archive. Every other internet email service offers the option to create custom folders, why not Protonmail? This issue has come up again and again from the start.

  6. Android app to support multiple accounts

    Just like in Gmail I would like to login to multiple accounts in my Android (don't know about the iOS app since I've never tried it) at the same time

  7. Multi-User support for PLUS subscription

    I have a PLUS subscription with a custom domain for my 5 family members. I would like them to gain access to their email separately, but from what I understand this requires a visionary subscription. I would like to have this feature included in the PLUS subscription for up to 5 users (same number of users as email addresses).

  8. The ability to search the contents of emails, not just the Subject

    It is a deal killer for business use to not be able to search the contents of emails Vs just subject titles. Combine that with the TERRIBLE conversation thread that will not open ALL messages at the same time and PM may be doing great engineering but poor client business development.

  9. Can we short the "protonmail" name?

    Just like when Google started with the Gmail service, back then it was @googlemail, which is not so good compared with the short @gmail name.
    What if ProtonMail stars something like "@pmail.com"?

  11. Add ability to run newly created filters against existing mail

    Can you please make it so we can run newly created filters against existing mail? Ideally based off the same criteria we can search on, applied retroactively.

  12. I need to set up Auto Responder (Out of Office) for my account. This is a necessary feature for me. Thank you so much.

    In order to guarantee that there is no delay with responding to emails, most email hosting sites have an auto responder (out of office) option to send an automated message in a reply email, as soon as an inbox is received. This is a necessary feature for me and I will greatly appreciate you providing this standard feature. Thank you so much again for your prompt assistance.

    a button that you can LOG OUT of all devices ( e.g.computers and phones)
    If a computer have been compromised of a mobile device lost or stolen.
    For peace of mind so you know all entry to your e-mail has been blocked.

    Send Plain Text E-mail

    'll be ability in future to send email in plain text as an option.Some mailing lists require plain text so this would be very usefull.

  16. Allow PGP encrypted mails to non protonmail contacts

    If I want to send an encrypted mail to a non protonmail E-Mail address I can't do that right now (I mean besides that link thing)

    Please add in the contacts section a way to upload the public key of a non protonmail user. That way we would be capable to send and receive PGP (GnuPG) encyrpted mails from others.

  17. Allow multiple email accounts from one mobile app

    Please allow multiple email accounts from one mobile app. I am using an iPhone and would like to be able to get notifications from my business and personal email addresses in Protonmail.

    It's fine if each account is still considered separate and storage usage is tallied separately, if there were just a way to be logged into both accounts.

    I'm using ProtonMail due to security concerns, and therefore I do not have Google Services installed on my device.

    Please provide the ProtonMail Android APK as direct download on your homepage.

    To top off the security of Proton Mail it great to be able to generate email aliases.

    This would allow Proton Mail users to log in to each website/service online with a different email address.

    This would increase online anonymity and reduce the chance of a Proton Mail user getting hacked.

    Detailed Description:

    When a user wants a new alias they click 'new alias' and a new email is generated that always forwards to the user's main email.

    e.x. 1b1f6253-a280-43e2-95e2-043e82dae3e7@protonmail.com

    Then a user can label that email so they can keep track of what it is used for.

  20. Support TouchID on iOS or Fingerprint+Secure Element to log into the app

    To simplify access to the mobile app and mantain a certain level of security, it would be interesting to add as an option to use the secure element for all phones that support it to store the key and allow an easier and quicker login.
