Our business hinges on privacy. UNFORTUNATELY, we just discovered that we cannot forward our customer service support emails to our CRM platform! This is a non starter for us. I don't what you are working on, STOP and turn on auto forwarding. I pay serious money to support your platform. WE NEED auto forwarding. PLEASE

I just migrated from Gmail but if this isn't resolved I'll probably have to migrate back.

I'd like to be able to forward emails within my protonmail organisation.

3 votes from me for this, I was amazed when I discovered that I can't set up a forward for a single email address after moving domain email to protonmail and paying for a year.
We use liveagent for ticketing and lots of automation, everything comes to to a grinding halt when customers reply until their messages are manually forwarded one at a time.
I asked protonmail support if anything can be done with the Bridge with hope that I can install it on a web server and possibly use it to forward email but still await an answer.
It's a shame because everything else has worked out fine and within a week or so I have referred a dozen or more free account sign ups and two professional so far.
Please add this feature and in the meantime please provide a workaround.

I just signed up for "Professional" expecting business-class features. Shocked that I can't setup forwards for email addresses that represent system alerts, interfaces to other systems like ITSM products (helpdesk/ticketing), etc. PLUS am trying to move away from a expensive forwarding service used by contractors, family, etc. for which I don't manage their emails - i.e. they have their own email but I want them to have whomever@mydomain.com. Is there a workaround?

Any news on this? It is a must to have forwarding capabilities.

I want to forward an email that contains attachements automatically with the attachements. Before I can forward the whole email to someone else I first have to download the attachements of the first email and afterwards attach them to the email.

I just took a Premium account with DNS but I already have regrets because of this missing feature (along with lack of mail redirect on the DNS config)

Five years since this request was lodged. Can you confirm if this functionality is planned or not? It will save us a lot of time having to come here and continue to wonder.

Yes, autoforwarding in filters should imo be implemented. Maybe with an option to force TLS or sth. like that.

Fastmail has an option to deliver emails to another email/s, thus it is not a forward but rather a redirection at the server level. Such a feature should be possible, since changing the delivery address should be an event before encryption (ie before reaching the recipient mailbox).
A similar feature exists on Gmail: https://support.google.com/a/answer/2685650 -

Although I think Protonmail is a powerfull service, I am currently moving to another one.
The only way I am able to properly transfer all incoming email to my new inbox in real time is to set up a VPS with a graphical user interface, install Protnmail Bridge, thunderbird and set the latter to automatically copy PM emails to my new inbox.
Setting up a VPS for email transfer is not cost effective and is very insecure. I wish Protonmail's Team had an easy built in solution to that.

Why can I forward manually but not automatically? Is one way more secure than the other? Really?

I am surprised that sieve cannot forward an incoming email to an external address @ another server.

it is crazy for a paid account to not be able to forward to another email address.
the "you can configure bridge and do it in your mailprogram"-solution is unreliable, because i need a machine constantly fetching and forwarding mails.
actually, i am a bit shocked. shouldn't this be a pretty basic feature?

Exactly the same use-case as Mathieu, but I did the switch and hopefully, I set up a catch-all and now I’m noticing that I’m getting the mail of my wife... and I there is no way to set up a rule at the moment to forward automatically and delete.
The best way is to implement redirection as explained by Mathieu. Thanks is advance!

As said in https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-feedback/suggestions/32738530-auto-forward
+3 on this
Exple usecase :
I registered myname.net at myRegistrar
I use it for all my family members : me, 3 childs, sister, mom and dad.
Actually, my DNS configuration, have MX records handled by myRegistrar mail servers and I have set those forwarding addresses :
me@myname.net forwards to me@gmail.com
child1@myname.net forwards to child1@gmail.com (idem for child2 and child 3, you get the idea)
sister@myname.net forwards to sister@otherprovider.com (idem for mom and dad)Now I want to say "goodbye Google, hello ProtonMail" for me and my childs but not for my sister and parents. Their mails, their choice.
With a Visionary account if I set the MX records to ProtonMail servers I can have my childs and my addresses managed by ProtonMail but I can't keep the forward for my sister and parents towards thier email providers.
I won't say to my family "you can no longer use our family domain name, cause I decided to quit Google"
So I can't use ProtonMail for now, too bad :/Please, it seems this is a long time request, put it on your roadmap, you're loosing customers !
