When changing e-mail selection, do not mark as read.
When I click a new e-mail, it always marks the previous selection as read. I prefer to mark it read manually

Keeping mail as unread is part of how we mail emails/tasks. Having a message automatically marked as read when the selection changes is a bummer. I understand if other people like the feature, so what if it was an option in settings? Then everyone can be happy : )

An extra annoyance is that when you want to mark the email as unread, if you do it via the button that shows on the conversation, you mark the entire conversation as unread. Meaning that the inbox will show maybe 5 new unread messages because you've marked the entire conversation as unread.
I tend to want to skim through my emails by opening them quickly and glancing at them for a few seconds. And I want to leave the un-treated messages as unread but instead I have to do this manually.
A work-around would be to be using ProtonMail via an application like Outlook, but I would prefer to not do that. A simple toggle in the settings to turn off "Automatically mark viewed items as read" would be far more suitable for me.
