"Redirected" and "original" link in "Link confirmation" choice
In the box confirming the opening of a link contained in e-mails, that the mail client presents to users when they clicks on links (“Link confirmation”), the mail client should present, in addition to the “original link”, the “real link” (aka the final destination link - having remotely pre-processed all link redirections of the “original link” and having obtained the final “real link”) allowing the user to choose whether to follow the “original” or the “real” link in the browser.
Link shortener sites (like t.co) hide user analysis mechanisms that are used for tracking & profiling. You may mitigate these methods remotely analyzing these link redirects.
