I don't even use blackberry, but a friend of mine didn't sign up for protonmail because there was no blackberry app.

I think Blackberry devices with BB10 (and even os 7.1!) is perfect handle for Protonmail app!

I concur that a blackberry app is needed. One reason many people use blackberry is the security of end-to-end encryption, VPN support, etc.

For BB10 its simple, ensure you do not have Google Play Services integrated, this shouldn't be in place regardless, it creates an uncertainty of Protonmail's intention with that integration. As for the newer models now available, this issue is mute, new android based BlackBerry models now support Google Play based apps, sad times but true. In any event, the current Google Play integrated client works just fine on BB10, just have to suppress the initial play services message when prompted.

Gosh.. I wish you guys can do this quickly! I need a secured email that fit in the Hub of the blackberry Passport! Right now I am using a Gmail where anyone can see it and it's a disaster.. I am sure that I am not the only one

Just like a bunch of others I would like a BlackBerry BB10 app too, and would be willing to pay for it! I know of a lot of other people who completely distrust the US companies who have control of the market for various reasons. BB10 is the only (non US) OS available to the consumer which has never been hacked and would be a perfect platform for ProtonMail.

I want to fire the big 4 entirely, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, and worst of all, Google.
I like The United States, but does every powerful IT company have to be headquartered there?! No.

I do not cause problems, so why am I being spied upon?
We know it is not just "marketing" - it is outright control is what they after.

I would love a ProtonMail app for BB10 OS too. I think ProtonMail is a perfect fit with what Blackberry's security vision. I am also willing to pay for this app.
