App development to support Linux based Mobile phones
A number of Linux based phones are under development, using PureOS or other Linux based Operating Systems. A Protonmail app written for these mobile phones would provide a privacy/security enhancement for them. The release of the Librem5 Linux based PureOS mobile phone is eminent.
Similarly, a Linux based mobile phone application for ProtonVPN would be a beneficial addition to these phones which have been developed to avoid the lack of privacy/security found in iOS and Google based Android operating systems.

Indenpendent Push Notification (GSF Independet)
After switching to Lineageos without a Google Playstore, I am unable to receive push notifications from protonmail, because it relies on the google service framework.
If you could keep an independent push notification functionality, like telegram foss or wechat, it's much appreciated.109 votes -
Default signature (on|off) in Android app
Signature (on | off) should default to its last setting, or users should be able to establish on or off as their default for signature. Current situation in the Android app is that signature is off, meaning I have to reset it to on each time I start the app.

Toggle on/off Desktop Signature on mobile
Allow the use of desktop signatures on mobile and also function to have different signatures for different accounts.
I have 5 different email addresses on my account from the sender drop down list.
It would be amazing if the correct signature dropped in when the corresponding email address was selected.
Thanks.5 votes -
Add Proton Mail as an account to Android device
Currently I cannot add Protonmail as an account to my android phone. I use a banking app that can only use an account (gmail, google, etc.) setup on my phone. I really want the security Protonmail provides so that I can get away from google & gmail!!!

iPad Os and iOS more productivity
I really miss a split view mode within the application, such as Outlook, where in one column are the emails, in another column on the left the text of the message. So I can work with my emails at a glance without having to work so hard scrolling through the menus. This would increase the usability of the application and I am 100% happy.

Android Email App notifications - ignore emails from dismissed notifications
This would partially solve sync issue: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-feedback/suggestions/33021859-sync-android-notifications-properly
Currently, after receiving new email and notification, I would often simply dismiss this notification to read the email later.
However if next email is received, it would show that I have 2 new emails and show both new and previously dismissed email. I.e. it shows all emails nit marked as read.While technically this is true, It's counterintuitive. Could you add an option to ignore dismissed email in future notifications? I.e. so notification is displayed only for emails received since last sync.
I saw email in first notification and acknowledged it, and sometimes…

Change theme based on OS preferred color scheme
Allow the theme to change between default and dark based on the OS's preferred color scheme like so:
@media (prefers-color-scheme: dark) {
.day.dark-scheme { background: #333; color: white; }
.night.dark-scheme { background: black; color: #ddd; }
}@media (prefers-color-scheme: light) {
.day.light-scheme { background: white; color: #555; }
.night.light-scheme { background: #eee; color: black; }
}When dark mode is released for iOS and Android, I would love to see this offered there too.

Unread/read color on Mobile App
Please increase the contrast colors of read and unread email in the inbox. It is difficult to see what is read or unread. The colors are too close. It should be blatantly obvious which are read/unread.

Put protonmail app in f-droid repository
I use replicant operating system and not android, for evident ethical and security reasons.
I don't want to use google play, because I'm against google and don't trust them.It will be very nice to put protonmail app in f-droid repository!

Text Options for Mobile App
In the Android mobile app the unread headers in the Inbox are almost undistinguishable from the read emails. Would like to see the unread email headers in a more distinctive bold font.

Add button to create filter on sender
When the phone says BEEP and you get irrelevant e-mail from some online company that they have shipped your package or that they want your feedback, these types of e-mails should be easy to filter out in the future.
Add a filter button on reading pane where it's quick and easy to filter future e-mails from sender (or domain) to folder or tag (and archive), with option to disable notification (on phone) (keep as unread, but don't send notification).
