  1. Tor connection via ProtonMail Bridge

While ProtonMail Bridge is connected, there is a lot of information included in the connection by necessity. If this connection were to set up a Tor connection to pass through to the onion version of ProtonMail by default, it would make it more difficult to censor or identify users who need heightened security. If it worked reliably, it could be a way to enhance overall security by both encrypting communication and also hiding the IP address.

  2. FreeBSD Support

    Hi,

I'm a FreeBSD user and a Protonmail user. Will you support Bridge for FreeBSD? It would be so helpful.

    Thanks.

  3. Enable Delete from All Mail folder from IMAP

I believe you used to be able to delete messages from the All Mail folder. With recent changes to bridge this is not possible. Please make this possible again! In Thunderbird, I constantly get "operation not allowed" messages when I try to delete from almost any folder, including search folder, because they are all connected the the All Mail folder. It's really frustrating.

  5. Apple's Hide My Mail feature

I don't really know if this is a new feature or something that work and I don't know how, but since I can't refigure out how to contact your team, here it is: if you use Hide My Mail (Apple OS all) and your Apple ID e-mail address that iis the "forwarding" address for the Hide My Mail comes to your Protonmail box, you can't select the Hide My Mail e-mail addresses to reply to mails. Can this be added?

  6. ProtonMail Linux Bridge with headless server support

It would be very useful to be able to configure the Protonmail bridge through the terminal so that it can be integrated into other systems such as Nextcloud

  7. Confirm bridge link with email client

It would be excellent if there were a way to confirm a link to the user's email client via bridge. I find that troubleshooting errors can be difficult because (to my knowledge) I only get feedback from my client. Being able to see both sides would make this process much easier.

  8. Allow ipad/iphone app to be used on new mac m1

Allow the protonmail app to be used on mac m1 series. Apple Silicon macs can use ipad/iphone applications natively. All that is required is the dev allows this via App Store.

  9. creating the linux bridge for openSuse linux

While some versions of linux are supported for the linux bridge, still openSuse users are left out. I know that QT5 is used to help build the linux bridge package, can someone please create the linux bridge for openSuse, preferably Leap 15.2 or Leap 15.3 version?

  10. ProtonMail Import-Export bulk delete

Since bulk delete is very sensitive and potentially disruptive, when using the Import-Export tool to save a set of emails locally it could have the option to additionally delete them.

This is on the safe side, useful for backups, and freeing space on the account.

  11. attached folder in bridge in split mode

With a bridge in split mode, the folders created in the protonmail Web are duplicated in all the splited adresses. Please, can you enable the rattachement of a folder to a specific email address, so that it can be attached only to this email address in the bridge in split mode ? Thanks

  12. Distribute ProtonMail Bridge via Package Managers (on Linux)

Keeping up with the regular updates on the ProtonMail Bridge would be a lot less annoying if it was distributed via the usual Package Managers on Linux, like apt, snap, pacman, etc.

Why is this not being done at the moment?

  13. Allowing "Bridge" to encrypt PC email with "Message Password" and "Password HInt"

When sending emails from Protonmail to a non-Protonmail account you have the option to encrypt the message with a “Message Password” and “Password Hint”... very useful.

Presently (I believe) all “Bridge” users do not have that functionality at their disposal as email message which is created on a PC email client pass through the “Bridge” prior to being sent to the Protonmail server.

If that option is actually 'not' available within Bridge functionality... consider the appeal that this would have on your user-base if that functionality existed.

I could envision it being accomplished by having two 'key phrases” (or some…

  15. Add Bridge support for Office365

How long before you believe Bridge will support Office365? I'd like to bring my proton mail into Outlook and cannot do so as I am on Office365.

  16. Support JMAP

Supporting the JMAP protocol (https://jmap.io/) would be great. It aims at replacing IMAP and is much more efficient. FastMail is already using it.

  17. Canary Mail support for ProtonMail Bridge

I've tried setting up CannaryMail with ProtonMail Bridge. I am able to send messages and have them populate the 'Sent' folder. I am able to see the unread count in my inbox but sadly, no messages.

  18. Bridge on local network - Local Hosting

I would love to see a way where I could run something similar to the bridge on my local network that would pull down any emails to storage from ProtonMail, leaving the only place my mail is stored at the end of the day being my local hardware.

  19. improve unflagging/unstarring email message support for bridge

when i flag email messages in outlook, messages are starred in webmail, same thing happens in reverse, wonderful
however, when i unflag email messages in outlook, messages remain starred in webmail, and sometimes when i unstar email messages in webmail, messages remain flagged in outlook

i have no problem starring and unstarring email messages in webmail; outlook flags and unflags messages correctly, albeit after a long delay

  20. Mailspring support for ProtonMail Bridge

ProtonMail Bridge has bugs integrating with the Mailspring email client. The Mailspring team have expressed interest in working together to get these issues resolved. If the bugs could be fixed and the Bridge could get working with Mailspring it would be a great productivity booster!
