It looks like it is on the roadmap for 2025: https://proton.me/blog/mail-calendar-product-roadmap-winter
"And even more on the horizon: Tasks, search, and offline mode
To support much-requested features like tasks, search capabilities, and offline access, we’ve started work on our next generation of Proton Calendar apps for iOS and Android, which we aim to release toward the end of 2025. In order to avoid duplicating effort, we have been building new features directly into the new app so we can bring you the new app faster
Building on this new platform will enable us to deliver these and other highly requested features more quickly and with improved performance."

Yeah, I can't speak for everyone else, but I use my Google calendar to track my bills. Punch them in and check them off when paid. Being able to move this information from Google to Proton would certainly be nice.

Yes please - this would be so helpful, especially integrated into the calendar!

Also having the ability to dynamically tag or group different tasks like “urgent” or “to do this month” or “project xyz” etc beyond just having lists / categories etc.
Not a dealbreaker but would be nice.

I'm in love with the concept of privacy in using a calendar, but it's impossible for me to adopt Proton Calendar without tasks. I use TickTick to manage my life, so I can only move to Proton Calendar when it becomes as useful as it. Or if there is a safe way to connect Proton Calendar and TickTick.

Hi all!
I agree this feature is a must and I don't know why it's taking so long to add it.
Any idea if this feature will be released soon? -

I want this but what I really want is a whole e2ee project management system like Asana. I want to organize tasks in a hierarchical way and share sets of tasks with teammates.

Absolutely a must. Happy to pay for that

Absolute necessity for a calendar app along with reminder type events.

It’s hard to call it a “Suite” without a Reminders/Task Manager.

The only reason I am not paying to proton is because this feature isn't available yet. Really want to stop using Outlook....

IMO this should be #1 priority for any new class of services within the Proton ecosystem. There is an enormous gap in the personal task management and profesional project management space where seamingly no E2EE competitor exists for the average consumer (cross platform, cloud backup, and device sync).
The thing about tasks is they can relate to, or contain, highly sensitive and deeply personal information associated with any data in your digital life, but also your future intentions (which email etc often do not). In many ways my todo list contains more sensitive info than my historic emails, or even my browsing history. Tasks can relate to photos (follow up on something in or about the image), files (actions items, collaboration, document expiry, etc), passwords (expiry or attached notes/documents), cards/finances/wallet (expiry, documents, action items). All of this is important even without the fact that much of this information is leaked as tasks inherintly require the use of the highly centralized – creditably compromised* – push notification services of big tech.
I'm aware that there are todos in the likes of standard notes and note-oriented competitors, but they are extremely simple and don't allow for complex organization and life admin (filtering, notifications, separation of concerns between personal, work and family), so they are not a genuine or realistic competitor to the likes of todoist, ticktick, things, remember the milk, amazing marvin or the integrated offerings from big tech.

Please consider a standalone task manager or recurring task management integration with Standard Notes for users who need robust task management and consider linking these to Proton Calendar for users who prefer Google Tasks. I was using Things3 before I realized my data was not private and they are working to integrate AI in their software.

It's been almost ten years (10!!!) since Proton itself shared this idea. I assume it will be integrated with Standard Notes, but we really need this ASAP.

Other email/calendar services have a means to store ToDos, usually integrated into calendar functionality (like including due dates and such, with calendar-related alerts.)
I am a big fan of Todo lists, but due to de-googling my life, Im currently using manual todo lists on my eInk tablet. It works, but I'd rather have it in digital form that is much easier to manage, shift tasks around, have alerts for upcoming due dates, etc.
Honestly, I think this basic feature would be implemented prior to launching into competition with google docs/etc. But I also am looking forward to competing SECURE and PRIVATE solutions to Google Docs as well.
Thanks
