2. [Mobile] Network Specific WL/BL Activation

   I would love the ability to be able to have a setting that allows me to whitelist or blacklist specific networks to automatically activate and deactivate VPN connection.

   For instance, if I come home my mobile device doesn't need to use the VPN anymore and it would be whitelisted. Once my phone connects to <home> network VPN deactivates and you get a popup welcome home VPN disconnected or something.

   When I go into work or an area that I don't necessarily trust such as a Starbucks or Public Wifi I would like it to automatically connect to the VPN and give me a similar popup.

   I was thinking I connect to the same network every time I go to office or coffee shop or library etc so if I could see saved networks and toggle trusted/untrusted so the app will detect and connect/disconnect as applicable.

3. App for Titan OS

   When I had an android TV I used Proton VPN frequently. Since I have switched to Titan OS this is one of the things I miss.
   OS Website: titanos.tv
   Runs on my latest Philps TV. It is a European operating system.

   There is currently no VPN app available as far as I know on Titan OS. I don't know if it is possible to build within their SDK; but if it is it could be a good opportunity for Proton to get in there first.

5. What if Proton VPN offered access to SCION?

   SCION is slowly growing to become more integrated leveraged by Anapaya (https://www.anapaya.net/scion-internet). Access to services using SCION like electronic banking solutions is usually limited to companies as they can afford entering SCION networks directly. Inidividuals seem to be limited to "wormhole" themselves into SCION.
   What if Proton VPN offered direct access into SCION?
   If I understood correctly the architecture would be as follows: on my personal device I use Proton VPN connecting to an SCION-enabled (they call ist SCIONabled) VPN server. Whenever I require resources from SCION the Proton VPN server running Anapaya EDGE (https://docs.anapaya.net/en/latest/edge/deployment/#appliance-edge) puts my request directly into SCION. All other stuff keeps running as before.
   Even if some time in the future many ISP's offer direct access, Proton would still close any gaps - like from a smartphone somewhere in the world. Plus, I don't have to care about the setup of Anapaya EDGE as this will be just another Proton Service on my Proton VPN. Nice.
   As I didn't find anything on SCION working with Proton or vice versa, I'm curious to see the outcome of this idea.

   It would be great, if users of the Umbrel Home Server or those, who use UmbrelOS, could connect to the Internet with the privacy of the Proton VPN.
   UmbrelOS version<1.0 allowed to install the Proton VPN on the underlaying Linux OS, but for UmbrelOS version>1.0 this ability has gone.

9. create a toggle in UI to show bandwidth by bits instead of Bytes

   Recent paid customer. It's weird to measure bandwidth in Bytes. Create a little toggle button in Settings -> General for Bytes vs bits. Volume would stay as-is.

10. Support for NAT64

    Proton VPN supports IPv6 now, and with manual configuration you can get full IPv6 from client to VPN to internet.

    With NAT64 supported the user can complete the migration to IPv6 by disabling IPv4 on the client device.

    The user would still be able to access IPv4-only services using a DNS64 server that converts IPv4 addresses to IPv6 addresses with the prefix 64:ff9b::. The VPN server would then translate the IPv6 addresses to IPv4. For example 64:ff9b::b077:c880 is the NAT64 version of 176.119.200.128 (mail.protonmail.ch), however 64:ff9b::b077:c880 isn't currently pingable.

    If Proton VPN supported NAT64 then the outgoing address could simply be the IPv4 address of the server.

    NAT64 could be silently added - the user is required to manually change their DNS server to a DNS64 one so it shouldn't cause any issues for people without DNS64.

    I would like proton vpn to turn on automatically when going to banking or payment websites and apps.

12. Option for applications or website not to connected via VPN like banks it will be blocked

    Compile a list of websites that enable management of all applications on both phone and computer, directly connecting without using a VPN, as many banking and government apps in my country fail to operate when the VPN is active.

13. Block Malware by maintained database (not just dns)

    To my understanding you now only block malware based on dns. I would think it would be very nice if also ip addresses of bad actors would get blocked by using realtime databases of such attackers.

    Develop these applications for the desktop on Linux.
    It's not normal that these applications are not available on Linux for a paid client.

17. Split Tunneling on Linux

    Split Tunneling is not currently officially supported for Linux. This feature is a must for me. The ProtonVPN tooling (both cli and gui) is not up to par with the MacOS and Windows counterparts. Please show us that you care about the Linux community.

19. use DNS with DoT (dns over tls) or DoH (dns over https)

    This is critical because the most people use a DNS with their own ISP.
    The DNS can leak their true location.
    Your vpn solution is not complete without DNS encryption.

    And please don't forget Linux not just Windows, Apple or Google.

20. Automatically enable vpn on public or compromised Wifi's

    Offer a switch to make Proton VPN automatically connect to its services when it detects that you are connected to a Public or Compromised Wifi.

    This can be useful if you don't want the VPN to turn on in your home wifi, but you still want to turn it on when connected to a public wifi.
