1. Proton Sheets: Add "Split text to columns" feature

   Proton Sheets is missing a core spreadsheet feature found in Excel and Google Sheets: the ability to split text in a cell into multiple columns using a delimiter (comma, space, tab, custom character).

   In Google Sheets this is implemented as:

2. Add Recycle bin in Proton Drive app

3. "Incomplete" Proton Sheets viewer

   A complete Proton Sheets would be nice, yet a simple viewer for sheets (.ods, .xls, etc) would be enough for me 30% of the time
   An "incomplete" sheet-editor (no calc needed in the first place) might be another simple solution until we have Proton calcit spreadsheets.

4. Secure Folders (without synchronization to Windows, passwords)

   Extra folders that are not synchronized to the Windows drive via the Proton Drive app.

5. Cryptomator Android support

   It would be great if Proton Drive has an API or WebDav support for Cryptomator to be able to implement it in the Android app to sync Cryptomator vaults to Proton Drive directly that way

   It's already possible to do that on Windows (and I beloeve macOS?) using the Proton Drive app and setting up the Cryptomator vault inside the Prpton Drive directory

   But on Android it's not possible which makes accessing important files on Android too hard

6. Open/edit md/docx/odt files in Proton Drive without creating a separate Proton Docs file

   As above, it seems strange that you can open files in Proton Docs, but a new file is created (pdoc) instead of amending the original file. Google drive allows for editing of docx and excel files from the drive without creating a separate doc. Clearly outline in your documentation that a new file is created to avoid confusion. This would also help in the future with integration of proton drive clients and seamless integration with file managers like on windows. I can amend files on pdrive on my windows machine but i cannot do so on my phone or using the drive online.

9. Plaintext and source files editing

   It would be great to be able view and edit plaintext or source files.

   • This one feature would allow to work with dozens of file formats in different programming/scripting languages, config files etc.
   • It would allow to create quick txt/md notes, where the full blown rich text editor is not required/desired.
   • It would allow to use Markdown note vaults, like those used by Obsidian.
   • It would allow to use tabular data in CSV format, which might cover some use cases for the (currently missing) spreadsheets feature.

   In the future, it would be also nice to have some syntax highlighting for popular languages. But even without that, the ability to edit raw text would be a massive improvement.

   It would be great to be able view and edit plaintext or source files.

    The graphical depiction of data is often the key to understanding that data quickly. (1) Better anchor charts (after inserting a chart, its position on the sheet jumps to a new location when clicked or after clicking a static image elsewhere on the sheet, such as the image of a chart that appears after converting an Excel file to Proton Sheets); (2) Allow customization of the color, thickness and line type used in line charts; (3) Allow relocation of chart legends from above the chart to below the chart; (4) Allow customization of "combo" charts so users can specify whether a series is a bar or a line.

11. Sheets - CTRL+K to insert link

    CTRL+K should function exactly the same as the "Insert link" button in the toolbar.
    This is faster than clicking a button, especially with a screen size where the "Insert link" button is hidden in the dropdown menu.

12. Proton Docs: support for maths expressions

    Proton Docs is already a great tool, and I think it would be nice to add maths formula and expressions with a LaTex, MathJax or any other syntax. So we should be able to create a math block with the UI as for a code block, or with the markdown syntax ($$).

13. Table of Contents :: Proton Docs

    Thanks for making Proton Docs!

    Will you please add a button to toggle a floating table of contents to the left side of a document that is being viewed or edited?

    Ideally, the TOC would show the headers of the document that would scroll to that part of the document when clicked. This would be similar to the feature in Google Docs. Additionally, a config option for it to set how many headers deep it would show would also be helpful.

14. Easy Switch for Proton Drive

    Please implement an equivalent of Easy Switch for Proton Drive. It would be of great benefit in the effort of migrating from OneDrive, Google Drive and Dropbox. It's honestly almost impossible to do manually as I - as of now - has to download everything to my local computer and then upload it to Proton Drive.

15. Mount Proton Drive as a Virtual Disk / File System Integration for Windows

    I am a Proton Plus subscriber, and as a paying customer I expect a user experience and level of integration similar to what most competing cloud storage services already provide regarding backup and file synchronization.

    I use Proton Drive not only as a backup tool, but also as a working storage location.
    However, there is currently no option to mount Proton Drive as a standard virtual disk on Windows — for example as drive “P:\” in applications that interact directly with the file system.

    This feature is essential for professional and productivity-focused workflows because it would:

    make the entire Drive accessible through the native Windows file system and 3rd-party apps (Total Commander, IDEs, CAD, office software, etc.)

    improve handling and organization of large amounts of files

    provide a clearer overview of storage usage, i.e. folder and sub-folder sizes, which is crucial to verify that all intended files and folders have been synchronized correctly, improving control and speed of work

    remove current workflow limitations associated with selective sync

    Expected capabilities of this feature

    ✔ Visible as a regular drive letter in Windows
    ✔ Full compatibility with standard file operations
    ✔ Optional enable/disable by user preference
    ✔ Security preserved (end-to-end encryption)
    ✔ On-Demand Sync remains available as a complementary feature

    Summary

    This feature would provide Proton Drive with full usability and accessibility —
    a natural, intuitive way to work with data → fewer clicks, more productivity.

    It would bring Proton Drive to the same level as major cloud drive services
    that already support virtual disk mounting.

16. app specific password for programatic drive access

    I am using MFA to access Proton services.
    I am testing Proton Drive as a backup solution, using rclone to send nightly deltas of a folder to the drive. This needs MFA, though, so it breaks after a while.
    Could you add app-specific--passwords so that this can be achieved, without using MFA for this, but still keeping MFA for normal access?

20. Add photo's on our computers/ desktop apps

    It would be great if we could view and organize photos on our computers/Windows (and other operating systems), using desktop apps. This would allow us to quickly view, reorganize, and use photos (taken with our phone) on our computers. For example, to create photo albums, presentations, slide show's, add them to mail or photo reports on existing situations, and so on.
