Download and Upload speed limiter
In EU most of the countries has bad internet over ASDL, so limiting upload and download speed while syncing files is important, because to big upload can kill whole home network download and vice versa. For example on speed asdl like I have I can upload 2000Kb/s but without limit it can go up to 2300kb/s which kills my internet connection. So I can only use cloud disks which had these limiters build in. For example, Mega, Dropbox, OneDrive and Tresorit has it, but not proton.

Incremental backup
It would be good if the photo backup could be set to only backup new photos rather than all photos every time. Backing up 7800+ photos every time takes forever

Give free access to former foster youth specifically. Could give big tax breaks and also provide them information on phishing scams ext.
Give former foster youth specifically free account as long as they are able to show documents that they were at once in foster care also provided with their account information on phishing safety practices and whatever else is educational for them to protect themselves while online.

Recovery of Proton Docs and Sheets
Please allow recovery of Proton Docs and Sheets when moved off Proton Drive. I dragged a few Proton Docs and Sheets from Drive onto my desktop, only to learn that now the data is lost per customer service. Uploading the files back to Proton Drive should logically be able to open them. It's extremely strange and disappointing that no warning is given when moving files off Proton Drive, and found nothing about this issue in the Proton Docs documentation online.

Photo date
Please support photos taken before 1st January, 1970. Currently, these are all bundled together under January 1970 on the iOS Proton Drive app, and cannot be reached at all in a browser. Without this feature, Drive is useless for sharing my father's photos.

When uploading documents, scanning documents into Proton Drive, or trying to find the most commonly accessed items, a filter for recent documents would be extremely helpful.

Heading Column for Proton Doc
Proton Doc has multiple heading levels.
Should be there a column on left side for the heading outline?Since the comment column is already on the right, then the heading column should be on the left then.

Proton Sheet public link with expiration and password from Proton Sheet directly.
This one is an easy one, and the title speaks by itself.
With a Proton Drive link, when I create a public link, I have the option to set a password and an expiration date. It is possible to share a Proton Sheet from Proton Drive this way, which is OK, but not from Proton Sheet, which would be even better.3 votes -

Proton Sheets - Automatic Import of Comments
Hi, I really love that Proton Sheets now exists, but I've been using the Comment function in Microsoft Excel a lot, and am desperately missing an automatic import function of all my comments in Excel. Can this feature be added, please?
The comments that I have created in Excel are far too many for inserting them manually, and I would really love to be able to seamlessly continue working with them in Proton Sheets! =)6 votes -
Add an "Open" function to Folder right click and kebab menus
Some people have a difficult time double clicking folders to open them. Please provide an "Open" function when right clicking a folder and also in the 3 dots kebab menu.

Automatic stripping of Metadata (EXIF, etc.) when uploading Photos
The user can choose in the upload parameters, if they wish to delete certain EXIF data at upload time.

Analyze / Sort Files by Size in Proton Drive
Dear Proton Team,
I would like to request a feature that allows users to sort and filter files by size across the entire Proton Drive, not just within individual folders. Currently, it is not possible to view the size of folders or to search for large files efficiently across all folders. This feature would greatly improve the user experience by making it easier to manage storage and identify large files quickly.

Someone shared a folder, i can see it on the ProtonDrive "Web site".. but not on my computer.. How?

Webpage Shortcut
I use Windows File Explorer to create webpage shortcuts in my Proton Drive folders, but these don't work when using the Proton Drive app on mobile or the web app. It would be helpful if these would work in the apps and if the apps had a function to create shortcuts on their own.

Add Backup Photos solution for Graphene OS
Add real Folder-level SAF support so that the app can be used for Photo Backup in the background. Now it has to be done fully manually.
