Native macOS Profile Folder Redirection (Desktop, Documents, etc.) to Proton Drive
Requesting native support for redirecting macOS user profile folders, such as Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Pictures, and other standard home folders, into Proton Drive. Similar to how iCloud Drive and OneDrive offer “Desktop & Documents” integration.
Use case / problem:
Today, Proton Drive works well as a secure storage location, but it does not integrate deeply with the macOS file system. This means files saved to common locations like Desktop or Documents do not automatically sync to Proton Drive unless users manually move them. Add zoom in/out to Proton Docs web app
Please add zoom/in/out to Proton Docs. You can work around this by zooming the browser, but that increases the size of all UI elements and isn't a great solution. Hoping this is low-hanging fruit! Thanks

To keep things organized in Drive and organize documents in a structured way, I came up with the following idea:
A feature that lets me assign categories to files. It should be possible to create these categories and define them with a name and color. This would allow me to define different categories for different topics. With an additional built-in filter function, I could then view the files based on their category.
Personally, this would help me maintain a clear structure in Drive and sort and label the files according to the various topics.2 votes -
Sync by last modified date rather than file size
Today syncing is based on file sizes. When a file's size changes, it triggers synchronization. Conversely, if there are no size changes, synchronization won't occur. This is very unpractical when doing small edits within a file. Sync by last modified date rather than file size is much more practical.

proton sheet cell history
I would really like to completely leave google and use Proton. I am stuck because there is this ability to check the cell history on google sheets, that helps track changes done by others collaborating on the sheets. This is a really integral part of our work, would love to see this feature on proton sheets. Any idea if it will be available in the near future?

[WINDOWS] Option to customize the path of the folder to sync between computers
It would be cool if Proton Drive had an option to customize the path of the folder that you want to sync between computers (like Google Drive does).
Currently Proton Drive forces you to use a certain folder (Unit:\Your Proton Drive folder\My files), so it forces the user to alter their data structure.
Creating a junction point/symbolic link is not a valid solution since they have a number of inconveniences like not being able to do Explorer searches (junctions are not indexed) or not being able to access them via Quick Access (symbolic links act as shortcuts when pinned so…

Selectable language/region formatting in proton docs
It is very annoying that when I edit a proton doc (spreadsheet), all the numbers and dates are using a US format, despite my Proton Drive account being set to Danish language.
Please add the option for the user to select the formatting of dates and numbers that they want to use, regardless of what language their browser/account is using.7 votes -
Manual sync on Windows
It seems that Proton Drive only syncs documents when the last change value changes, not when the file actually changed, which creates a problem. Windows has this annoying quirk where, if the file size didn't change, it won't update the meta data for the time the document was last saved, so even if you saved 10 times in 10 minutes, if the changes you made summed up to the same file size, Explorer will continue to show the change time as being 10 minutes prior, and the updated file with not be automatically synced. save as conversions that do not need download
Proton docs can be downloaded in various formats. But you cannot save to the drive in those formats, you have to download and then upload, risking leaving the document on an insecure drive!
Add a "save as" feature which works like download, but saves to the drive.

Improve performance when browsing large photo folders on iOS
Problem
Currently, browsing large folders containing photos in the Proton Drive iOS app is very slow.The following issues occur consistently:
- Slow thumbnail generation
- Scrolling frequently stalls or freezes
- Opening photos takes several seconds
- Recently viewed photos are not cached efficiently
- In some cases the app becomes unresponsive and has to be force-closed
Suggestion
Improve performance for large photo collections by focusing on:- Faster thumbnail generation
- Smoother scrolling
- Better caching of thumbnails and recently viewed photos
- Faster opening of photos after the first view

Option to make drive folders (containing photos) visible in the photos album section
While there are many similar tickets regarding this topic, i just wanted to add my specific request, ignoring the often posed usefulness question of treating the photos section completely separate to the overall file section.
With this current structure in place, I would love to have the option to mark whole folders in "files", making them visible in the Photos Album section. In my case, I store my Photo backups in Proton Drive, organized by a certain folder structure. Segmented Streaming for Videos to enable previewing large video files
I tried to preview a 5min video which is 5GB in my drive, but I couldn't. It wouldn't load at all. I assume the app is trying to download the whole thing and then let me view it instead of serving me chunks, so with segmented streaming I hope I can view any of my video files with 0 waiting time.

Enable default auto-format of double hyphens to em dashes in Proton Docs.
As a journalist using Proton Docs for secure drafting, the lack of automatic formatting for em dashes is a significant friction point in my workflow.
In many professional text editors, typing two hyphens automatically converts them to an em dash. This is standard for long-form writing and quoting. I would love to see it in Proton Docs.

Proton Sheets - Reverse plotting order of data
In Proton sheets, introduce a new feature that allows the user change the plotting order of data in charts.
Currently we are forced to consider the way we order the source data, which makes it very difficult to accurate import data and charts from other sources. Especially tangible if a user is trying to migrate data from other services.

Plaintext and source files editing
It would be great to be able view and edit plaintext or source files.
- This one feature would allow to work with dozens of file formats in different programming/scripting languages, config files etc.
- It would allow to create quick txt/md notes, where the full blown rich text editor is not required/desired.
- It would allow to use Markdown note vaults, like those used by Obsidian.
- It would allow to use tabular data in CSV format, which might cover some use cases for the (currently missing) spreadsheets feature.

Please make Proton Drive available in F-Droid
Unlike Proton Authenticator, Pass, VPN, and Lumo apps, which are available in F‑Droid, it’s sad that Proton Drive is still unavailable there. I really miss this app to have all Proton apps from F‑Droid.

Create specific folder icons on Windows that reflect the synchronisation status of a folder. (Proton Drive Client)
On Windows, when folders are synced using the Proton Drive Client, the folder icon remains the Windows default one. It would be good to have different icons that reflect the status of the synchronisation operations.
For example, on top of the original icon
- Small green mark for "synced"
- Small blue mark for "On-going synchronisation"
- Small red mark for "Synchronisation is not active" (which could alert the user of a problem)3 votes
