Nextcloud style Photos backup configuration (Configure source & destination, year, etc)
I really like the Nextcloud photo sync feature, it allows for configuring any source folder on the phone and defining what the destination folder should be. This means that the pictures are automatically organized by source location on my backup repo.
Furthermore, it has the feature to allow for creation year drilldown, meaning it will create the Year/Month folders automatically within the destination that I chose in the repo. It would be cool to see some enhancements along those lines. Thanks for all the great work!

Device folder-level access control
Now that the entire contents of my Proton Drive are accessible from all devices that I log into it with, I'm nervous that a compromise on one device could lead to a complete takeover of all my data.
I'd like to suggest a feature where folders can be given an access control list, similar to NTFS permissions on Windows, but device based. The web portal would have access to all folders always, but from the web portal, you could define which devices are allowed read/write access to specific folders.

Possibilità di cambiare lingua
Salve, da quando è nato Proton Drive ho scritto già un paio di volte di sviluppare la possibilità di cambiare lingua ma sfortunatamente non è avvenuto.
A differenza di Proton Pass, che è arrivato da pochi mesi, l'aggiornamento è avvenuto rapidamente.
Spero possiate sviluppare questa possibilità visto che Proton Drive è stato lanciato da più di un anno e la lingua è rimasta sempre quella. Saluti1 vote -
Sync master folder between all devices
Can you please add a universal folder sync function like OneDrive or Google Drive that is independent of any particular device or entirely browser/cloud usable? What I mean is that I want an option for a common top level folder that is the master driving each device (phone, table, PC,...), and not a *****/backup to any particular device. Anything in this master folder would show up on any synced devices and a change on one device would show up instantly on all the other devices. Thus I can have the same folders on multiple personal devices or family shared items…

end to end encryption
You must also encrypt protondrive and protonmail android app user data and encryption key, with a local password(app lock) to help protect from offline, unauthorised access.

search photos by date
Allow or enable searching photos in Drive by date of capture. For example, if I search "12 June 2023" or "2023-06-12" show me all the photos in my Drive taken on that day. And similar to search by week or month

List all files in drive recursively, by size
It would be nice if we could list all files in our drive, and have them ordered by size so we can see the biggest files first.

Register Proton Drive mobile app to open local PDF files
The Proton Drive mobile app can open PDF files uploaded within the app. However, it is not registered to open PDF files from within the system (e.g. a PDF file inside the File Manager). Adding this won't be difficult, especially since Proton Drive mobile app can already open these files.

ebooks library support
I would find useful a new section in ProtonDrive dedicated to eBooks, that allows not just to see all the ebooks in one place, but also to organize them in "shelfs" or "tags", and, why not, with the ability to actually read them in it

Limit Sync Bandwidth
Thank you for honoring Visionary subscribers with the extra capacity of Proton Drive. Please consider adding a setting that would limit the bandwidth during sync operations. The transfer speed is consuming all available bandwidth and it is difficult to do anything else when the sync process is running.

Add synced computers tab on iOS
However when I open the iOS app I only see the existing My Files. On my windows computer I've synced, this is nowhere to be found. I don't want to reupload my already synced files into the My Files directory.

iOS App: Add a "Recently Opened" Section
Add "recently opened" to the "My files" home page when the app is opened or as a section in the side menu.

Add scroll bar in photos view
Would be great to have a scroll bar in Proton Photos. I have lots of pictures and have to swipe the screen 900 times to get to the pics at the bottom of the list. With a scroll bar, I could "swipe" the screen once and get to the bottom.

Option to ignore sync issues in specific folders
ProtonDrive displays a bunch of sync issues for file locks which may be unessential to sync immediately. This presents a problem for when actual sync issues show up which may go unnoticed. There should be an option to disable sync issues for specific folders, as well as a section to display "ignored" sync issues.
In my case, I have ProtonDrive to sync my Thunderbird profiles. Thunderbird constantly uses these files, so there is a file lock on many of them and ProtonDrive is unable to sync. This is expected functionality however, and the files will sync once Thunderbird is closed.…

Provide .msix package with appcontainer enabled
Appcontainer (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/msix/msix-container) makes app sandbox possible on Windows. Pls use .msix with it rather than traditional win32 apps.

resync to folder
The ability to sync to an existing folder.
If I have to reinstall Proton Drive, such as when I reinstall Windows, I cant have it point to the existing folder I use for Syncing Proton Drive. I have to create a new folder, which just creates a mess and a duplication of data (and the fear of losing something). I should just be able to point to the existing sync folder, and continue on.

Create a virtual drive on computers to allow easy file access (similar to pCloud's pDrive)
I've stuck with pCloud because of it's amazing pDrive (virtual drive) feature. By implementing a virtual drive, users will see all of their files and be able to interact with them as though the files existed on their PCs or Macs. For example, your accounts files might be on P:\Accounts. Then you could drag and drop and even put links to the files within documents or local spreadsheets. This is an extremely useful feature and would make Proton Drive operate seamlessly with computers.
