Segmentation - Multiple Drives Per Account
The ability to completely segment a drive and have multiple drives per account would be a good feature. It would ensure that you could share and/or sync specific drives to a desktop app without the risk of unintended sharing data stored on the other drive(s). Additional drives could be purchased as an add-on or users could elect to split their available account drive capacity across multiple drives.

limit number of link accesses or file downloads
Introduce feature whereby a user can only download file once or allow a link to only be used once so file can be listing on online marketplaces like ebay or trademe - so the link expires after download. Perhaps even a feature where you can assign multiple links on the same file that can be downloaded once only by each user - that is a feature I would upgrade to pro for

Post individual git commits for the apps
Currently, the public code repository for the ProtonDrive apps only has a single git commit for each release. This makes it incredibly hard to track down bugs when beta testing, and is similar to what garbage companies like NVIDIA do for their open-source software. Other Proton apps have each individual commit in their respective repositories, so I don't see why the ProtonDrive code is published in this terrible way. I make frequent bug reports when I run into issues beta testing Proton software, and this makes it impossible for me to provide higher quality bug reports to the Proton developers,…

2FA protection for certain files and folders
Drive should have something like the "Personal Vault" from OneDrive.
Everything in the Proton Drive is available all the time everywhere. As some files are extremely critical, but dont need to be looked at or changed all the time from everywhere, this is a convenient weakness.
Example: I don't want my Bitcoin recovery phrase on the android app to be be "protected" with a fingerprint, and on the unlocked PC not protected at all.

saving and sharing multiple files
currently, when selecting multiple photos, there is only a download option, which downloads the photo to proton drive but does not save them directly to the device gallery.
it would be immensely helpful to have a " Save to gallery " option when selecting multiple photos. this feature would streamline the process and enhance the user experience by allowing us to save multiple photos directly to our device gallery with ease.

Annotations for files/directories
The ability to tag directories and files with annotations, even if they're just limited to being very short notes, would be very useful for tasks pertaining to organizing file collections, and overall preventing long-term forgetfulness that tends to come with that (example: it's 2030 "why did I keep these files around? They look deprecated... oh, right here's a note I left six years ago reminding myself why I shouldn't delete these. Okay then.")

Open files in other apps
Please allow us to directly open files in our Drive with another Android application. I don't need an integrated viewer for every type of file, just away to open the applications that are already registered for that type of file on my phone.
I recently moved in from Dropbox to Proton Drive, and I probably wouldn't have done it had I realized this feature was unavailable!

Integration with git
It would be nice if my git repos were encrypted and stored on proton drive.

Allow users to sync files via web interface.
Today I ran a test on my Proton Drive account. I added a folder with 3 files in it. On my local copy of the folder, I added a 4th file then tried to upload the folder again. It told me a folder with that name already exists and gave me 2 choices. 1 Replace the existing folder or 2 keep both, with a number added to the name of the second folder. For windows and mac users you have the option to sync a folder with the Proton Drive client. For Linux there is no Proton Drive client. The…

Simultaneous access to multiple Drive to/from single desktop device
Allow access to multiple drive on the desktop app-simultaneous login, upload to/download from distinct drives to/from single desktop device. Currently, we can access more than one account on the Drive desktop app, but not simultaneously (feature to add account doesn't exist). Also, once logged into more than one account, we should be able to upload and download to each account or from each account using the same device.

Hidden app data folders
I'd like to propose the addition of a feature allowing applications to create a secret, hidden folder within Proton Drive for storing application-specific data. Similar to Google Drive's app data folder, this would enhance security, isolate application data, improve user privacy, and align with industry best practices.
Google Drive's app data folder:

Symlink sync to copy external data
I use an smb drive on a linux file server. I was hoping to back that up to Proton Drive. Since there is no Linux app for Drive my alternative was to create a symlink to that location and have Drive backup from there. Looks like symlinks are not supported either. Having one of those in place would be great so I could use proton as a cloud backup to my important data.
