  2. Option to start Lumo in a floating window

As the Android Lumo app does not support Landscape orientation, not even on large screens, it would be VERY nice to have the possibility to launch Lumo in a floating window on systems that supports it.

On e.g. OnePlus tablets Lumo runs nicely when switching it over to a floating window that can be resized and moved around, BUT there is no way to launch Lumo so it always starts in a floating window.

Please, add the an option in the Lumo Android app making it possible to have it request a floating window upon start.

  3. Recurring events for weekdays only! Or custom days of the week!

Literally just let me use a checkbox for specific days of the week! I can't click "Every weekday" for a recurring meeting.

My use case is to set meetings that are the same meeting every day from Mon-Thurs, and they recur every week. This seems impossible without creating 4 events... 1 for each day of week.. but I want the notes and meeting invite to be ONE!

  4. Implement Screen Reader Accessibility Improvements in the Lumo Web and iOS Apps

As a Lumo user who relies on screen reader technology to access my iPhone, I have several suggestions that would make the Lumo app significantly easier for low vision folks to use. Because it seems the web version of Lumo behaves pretty similarly to the iOS app, I'll focus on the iOS app but do consider these same suggestions for the web app, as well.

Make prompts and responses into single focusable blocks

For an example of this, turn on the VoiceOver screen reader in iOS and observe how it behaves in the Facebook iOS app news feed. Although a…

  5. Enhanced OCR (e.g. extraction of passport credential)

Enhancement of the OCR function so that data from scans (e.g. from passports) can also be recognized.

  6. Shared calendars to be able to be set as default for both members of a duo subscription

Shared calendars to be able to be set as default for both members of a duo subscription.

I would like to be able to share a calendar with my duo member, and have this shared calendar a default for both. This would allow the color-coding system to be visible by both members of the duo subscription. This function is not available for the person who didn’t create the shared calendar

  7. Stand‑alone Lumo Windows Application

Create a native Lumo desktop client for Windows that delivers the full Lumo experience—chat, writing assistance, file uploads, and secure conversation management—without requiring a browser. A dedicated Windows app would let users keep Lumo open alongside other productivity tools, benefit from hardware‑accelerated rendering and system‑level notifications, and integrate with Windows credential storage to preserve zero‑access encryption. It could also cache recent conversation history locally for offline read‑only access and provide a system‑tray icon with quick‑launch and status indicators. The first release should mirror the web app’s feature set, offer a Windows‑styled UI (dark/light mode, resizable windows, snap‑assist), support automatic signed…

  8. travel time before/after event

It would be great if the calendar added the ability to include travel time to an event, after the event. For example, I have a meeting in another part of the city, and I need 30 minutes to get to the location. It would be very convenient for all that time to be shown in the calendar so that others can see that you are also busy during the travel period.

Currently this has to be worked around by creating another event or extending the existing one.

  9. Sensitive‑Data Confirmation for Feedback

    Problem

When users give a thumbs‑up/down on a response, the associated snippet (including any code or text shown) is sent for anonymous analysis. If the snippet unintentionally contains sensitive information (IP addresses, ports, encryption keys, hashes, credentials, etc.), that data could be transmitted without the user’s explicit consent.

    Proposed Solution

Add a post‑feedback check that scans the rated snippet for patterns that look like sensitive data. If a match is found, display a prompt:

“The content you just rated appears to contain potentially sensitive information (e.g., IP address, key, hash). Do you want to include this data in the feedback

  10. The ability to set a permanent but editable preamble that is always considered by Lumo+ at the start and during each chat.

I have recently moved from ChatGBT over to Lumo+ and I noticed some differences. Lumo+ under it's current configuration isn't nearly as accurate as Chat. Yes, Chat can get you up the wrong tree at times, but not as much as Lumo. One thing that I think that helped with Chat is the the ability to create a general header for how I wanted Chat to operate which included instructions about accuracy, depth, reply style, and whether to resort to the web to get latest information about softwre updates on things like Home Assistant and Raspberry Pi. With Chat I…

  11. File types and size / unsupported file types

The current file types to upload f.e. images don’t work well and constantly I’ll get the message of “unsupported file type” in the pop-up window and that’s a false flag. They are all files types that Lumo support. I can open those files without any problems within Proton Drive or iCloud. Same issue occurs on Windows desktop, iPhone and iPad. Drag and drop makes no difference.

The file size is also an issue, limited to 10MB and I have a subscription. An average photo is already more than that. Files stored in Proton Drive can be uploaded with a maximum…

  12. Removing Lumo from my Proton experience

Before you call me a Luddite, let me be clear: The original definition of a Luddite is one who did not want technology foisted upon them without consent. The AI craze has made me a loud-and-proud Luddite. Go elsewhere if you want to talk about how it's the "future" and "inevitable" in its current state.

My personal views on the viability of "ethical" GenAI aside, aside, I simply don't want to see a Lumo option in my tabs of much more useful Proton apps, like Drive, Calendar, Wallet and VPN.

Keep the cutesy purple cat out of my tabs, please,…

  13. Feature Request: Exclusive Access to Larger LLMs for Lumo Plus Subscribers

I would like to propose a feature specifically for paying Lumo Plus subscribers: the ability to enable Lumo to use larger LLMs (such as GPT-5, GPT-5 Thinking, Gemini 2.5 Pro, Grok 4, Claude Sonnet 4.5, etc.) for processing queries. The core idea is for Lumo to act as a privacy barrier—protecting user data—while still taking advantage of the advanced capabilities of top-tier models for those who subscribe.
This enhanced feature should be strictly limited to users who actively pay for Lumo Plus. Free users would continue using the current models and would not have access to this option.
    Lumo Plus…

  14. VPN Plus with special Lumo Plus offer :)

I am a bit unsure of following through with the Unlimited upgrade from VPN Plus to get Lumo Plus where Unlimited says Lumo is LIMITED. Its a matter of mixed messages. Doesn't VPN Plus need a special upgrade for Lumo Plus? I really don't need the other extras!! Except the Drive....??

  15. Add a mid-price tier to Lumo

Currently I can only get two flavours of Lumo: I can either use the free version and be (very) limited in using it, or pay the full price for all features. I'm not interested in using the most advanced llm and do not want to use it every day, so I'm not willing to pay €10 a month. At the same time, I'm willing to pay more then I pay now.

  16. Lumo Integration Part Two (Lumo Dedicated Encrypted Desktop Assistant, Legacy & New Applications Work Options)

All code generation & storage is encrypted and wrapped by a YubiKey.

Running code requires a second‑factor OTP/TOTP from the same YubiKey.

If the device can’t handle the workload, LDA warns the user and offers a secure cloud‑inference fallback.

The assistant stays offline except for signed updates or an explicit, user‑approved cloud request.

Implement the modules, follow the testing plan, and you’ll have a privacy‑preserving, hardware‑rooted Lumo Desktop Assistant that can safely generate, store, and execute programs on demand.

  17. Add support for multi-event calendar files

My local utility provider publishes .ICS files with events like garbage containers being emptied:
    https://portal-api.kredslob.dk/api/calendar/icsfeed/07513454__29_______/18340

I would like to import that into the Proton Calendar, but I am getting a message that multi-event ICS files are not supported. Would you be able to implement this feature?

  18. Lumo create/work Integration into built-in or desktop known/widely used apps

Lumo- Allow the command to generate in built-in known applications on windows/Linux such as photoshop, adobe, unity. Much like using chatgpt commanding it to create an image and it generates a image using adobe etc. Allow Lumo to do this, to Integrate and create/work things faster/get things done in encryption/anontymity without having to go to ChatGpt or using Windows Monitored/Data Collected Co-pilot A.I and etc.

  19. Setting for switching between 'enter to ask' and clicking to ask.

Japanese (and perhaps other languages) requires the enter button to convert text into characters, which ends up asking Lumo before the sentence is fully written. This is frustrating as theres no other way to ask Lumo without typing the sentence somewhere else first, then copying. A feature to turn off 'enter to ask' would be appreciated.

  20. Rich text in the Calendar

It would be great if the "Description" field in the Calendar entries would be rich text, like Google Calendar offers. That way, we can copy text and paste with formats like bold, underline, etc. etc.
