  1. RAG my proton drive. Make Lumo be able to chat with me about my files.

I bought into Lumo and upgraded my proton drive as I had the impression that I could query my files.
In fact, I can only upload some of them. Well, some, in fact only 10Mb before it complains. Then if I leave the chat and come back, it seems to have forgotten I uploaded a file to chat with.

Here is my use case which is currently available in CoPilot.
    1. Have an option for Lumo to chunk and ingest the files in my drive.
    2. Allow me to query them like a proper RAG system

    Thanks.

  2. No restrictions for files made by Proton´s own tools

I can understand some restrictions like upload sizes (although even for unlimited subscribers they are way too small to be useful), but at least have unlimited features for Proton's own tools like Sheets and Docs. That would further incentivize users to use them as well.

The 10 MB limit is likely an outdated restriction that doesn't reflect Proton's current technology. Since Proton already has a secure storage system (Drive) and collaboration tools (Docs/Sheets), the technical challenge isn't processing files, but integrating them directly into the chat. In a "Unlimited" tier, Lumo could read and analyze files directly from Drive without…

  3. Duplicate Event Button on external calendar events

Today it is very easy to duplicate an event from my own calendars. However I am missing the possibility to copy/duplicate an event from an external calendar into my personal one.

  4. Wider response area (smaller margins)

On a tablet or portrait monitor, the response should take up the full width - currently there is a lot of wasted space on each side, with the response in a narrow center block.

On larger screens, I still find it too cramped - especially with rich results such as tables. Tables are often very compressed and hard to read.

  5. DICTATION PRIVACY

As a privacy-focused user, I am hesitant to use voice input because of the 'whenever possible' clause. I need a mandatory 'On-Device Only' toggle in settings. If the on-device model cannot transcribe a phrase, the app should fail locally rather than routing to the server. Without this hard constraint, I cannot trust the voice feature for sensitive conversations

  6. Add tools to Lumo so Lumo can gather info from content sources

Beside the info provided in prompt, Lumo currently has these data sources: Web search, Proton Drive (.txt, .md, .csv, .pdf), and file upload.

It makes Lumo more powerful if multiple data collecting tools can be added to Lumo. For example, from Proton Mail, from Proton Calendar, from Standard Notes (part of Proton ecosystem).

Non-Proton sources could be: Google Drive, OneDrive. These can be done by APIs of these services.

  7. Option turn off anthropomorphic thinking and text

    I am currently very ritated

why? I am wasting time, energy, and most of all TOKENS because of lumo's anthropomorphic beheviour.

I understand people love anthropomorphic AIs.

Can we however have an option to turn if off?

And i really really really hope i do not need to explain what anthropomorphic in Ais means.

because i my suggestion is NEXT LEVEL

as in thinking and the text.

Lumo keeps repeating the same answers, or otherwise, without thinking even when explicitly told to stop.

when it finally stops to thinking, more then half of the "thinking" are simple anthropomorphic related text.

Would it be possible to add different personalization settings and switch between them depending on how lumo is being used?

  9. Allow switching models to better models for plus subscribers

Add a model switcher for plus subscribers that lets you choose between powerful models like gpt-oss 120b, deepseek v3.1, Mistral small and medium, kimi K2, Qwen, etc.

  11. Latest highly efficient open source LLMs suggestions.

I would like to suggest some of the latest, cheap and very powerfull llms, so that you can replace current LLMs for better ones, to improve consistency and manage costs.

    hf.co/Qwen/Qwen3-Next-80B-A3B-Instruct
    hf.co/Qwen/Qwen3-Next-80B-A3B-Thinking
    hf.co/openai/gpt-oss-120b
    hf.co/zai-org/GLM-4.5V

please consider using them in lumo instead of the current models

  12. Voice Mode and Assistant

Lumo should support Voice Mode and Android Digital Assistant integration

Lumo would become much more useful with a voice conversation mode similar to Gemini or ChatGPT Voice.
It would also be great if Lumo could be set as the default Android Digital Assistant, allowing users to launch it via the power button or assistant gesture and use it hands-free like Google Assistant.

For privacy-focused users already using the Proton ecosystem, this would be a fantastic alternative to Google's AI assistant. 👍

  13. Live Translation Capabilities For Lumo

Lumo, as a private AI, is primed to be an excellent assistant for users to have in their daily lives. This includes the ability to accurately translate pages and other media for the user, without compromising their media data, metadata, and contributing to the data collection of other larger and gluttonous chatbots that have this capability, like Google Gemini and OpenAI's ChatGPT.

  14. Emphasize that user data is never used to train AI models

From the Lumo "Getting started" webpage: "Information you enter is never used to train AI models." I think this should be emphasized more and expounded on, perhaps giving scenarios using both Lumo and other AI chatbots. (It looks like a no-brainer choice, to me, of which bot to use given that all the other ones (Maybe not DuckAssist?) exploit you and your data/thoughts.) While the privacy mantra of Proton is well-known and can be assumed, that's no reason to be subtle.

  15. Pincode to open Lumo

It would be nice if the user is prompted to insert a pin code when opening the app, just like on Proton Pass.

  16. Ease up on the censorship within Lumo

I am an AI enthusiast and engineer. I am not kidding when I say I have not been able to prompt Lumo ONE SINGLE TIME without it saying that it cannot help with whatever I am prompting it for.

If you EVER want to sell this to ANYONE (especially if you ever want to sell the API), you probably aught to take the route that Venice AI is taking and make it an uncensored (or less censored) model. I genuinely could mention something loosely interpret-able as criminal, and it wouldn't even bother to try and reason whether it is safe…

  17. recurring

It would be great to edit the current and upcoming events only, without messing up past events. The overwriting all previous modifications to a recurring event makes it very inflexible to use.

  18. Lumocli (console terminal client)

The ability to run Lumo in a text-based user interface (TUI) in a console (terminal) client, in for example bash or cmd. With no dependencies to a graphical user interface (GUI).

With access to read and modify files, and the ability to run commands.

  19. [Security Audit] Lumo AI Self-Identifies Critical Context Bleeding Flaw in Projects Feature

Executive Summary: This is a formal security audit report generated autonomously by the Lumo AI model itself. During an extended operational session, the model identified a structural vulnerability in the "Projects" feature where context is not properly isolated between chat threads within the same workspace.

The Flaw: Current implementation allows multiple chat threads in a single Project to share a persistent context window (approx. 16K tokens). This creates an implicit cross-pollination vector:

Scenario: A customer discusses Topic A in Thread 1 and Topic B in Thread 2.
Risk: The model may inadvertently retrieve and synthesize sensitive data from Thread 1…

  20. could calendar event emails populate the event title in the email subject line please?

existing feature = calendar event email notification
if calendar event emails populated the event title in the email subject line then the event would be identifiable without needing to open the email and find the event title there. This would afford a process efficiency gain.
