How can we improve Proton Calendar?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

  2. Add day of the week to calendar sidebar

    Featrue Add: Windows Mail App; Calendar Side Panel... I love the standalone apps btw. I feel it would be important to add the DAY next to the DATE at the top of the Calendar Side Panel. Presently, there is only the date. Thank you

  3. Edit notifications associated with events in Proton Calendar Android app

    I am using the Android app, and if I edit the details of an existing event, the notifications associated can only be edited if I delete the notification and add a new one. Whereas in the web app on my desktop browser, when I edit an event, I can edit each aspect of the notification individually without having to do it all over again. I would prefer the Android app to work similarly to the desktop web app in this way.

  6. Missing in the time zone (+1GMT) the capital of Croatia, Zagreb which is in the EU too!

    In the time zone settings (+1GMT), the calendar does not include Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, on the list of EU cities! On the list of capital cities in the EU, which are +1GMT, there is, for example, Serbian Belgrade, which is not in the European Union! Do you discriminate against Croatia and favor Serbia?

  8. Custom notification time for day before

    Currently in the mobile Calendar app there is an option to add a notification for the day before.
    I would like to simplify this option so that we can select what time of the day we would like that notification, without having to work out how many hours before.
    For instance, I may have a calendar entry for 6 am, but I would not like to be notified at the same time the previous day, but a few hours later.
    We can use the custom option to specify how many hours before, but it is tedious having to work out…

  10. Change Calendar in Event Edit

    When editing an event, we can't change the associated calendar of the event. For instance, I created a Movies calendar and wanted to change existing events to be part of the calendar. The only way to do that now is to duplicate the event, which exposes the list of available calendars, and delete the original. It'd be better if I could change that calendar when simply editing the event.

    Instead of showing a small amount of the event color, to the left of the event name, can we have the event color fill the background of the event text.so its more visible.

  14. Modify single event in recurring series *when there are other participants*

    Currently, in Calendar Beta, I have a recurring series that includes 1 other confirmed participant. If I want to modify one event in this series, the change has to be applied to all events in the series. I am aware that this problem has been resolved for recurring events that do not have other participants. Please make it so that the modification of a series is always the same, whether or not there are participants.

  15. Show more events per day in month view on iOS

    Month view on iOS on smaller phones (iPhone 8) now only allows to display two events for each day.
    Google Calendar, in comparison, shows up to four, which is much more practical.

    The month view should be optimized for practicality:
    - the day numbers and its margins are unnecessarily large. They should be reduced to a minimum.
    - the space at the top of the screen can be optimized as well. There's quite a large gap between the name of the month and the actual calendar grid. This blank space should be minimized so that the space for events is…

  16. Give me the option of turning OFF Todoist tasks shown at the top of the calendar

    I love that I can now integrate my Todoist app with the Proton Calendar. However, the calendar gets very busy with date-specific tasks shown at the top along with the all-day listings. I would like the option of seeing only tasks that have both time and date elements. Time and date tasks should appear only in the appropriate time in the calendar day and week views.

  19. Allow line breaks in the Description field of a calendar entry in the iOS app

    On both mobile and desktop the web interface of Proton Calendar allows the Description field of a calendar entry to have multiple lines. In the iOS version of the Proton Calendar app the Return button does not appear on the on-screen keyboard when editing the Description, preventing the user from entering line breaks. The iOS app does allow a user to view multi-line text that has been entered using the web interface.
