Better time zone handling for flights
Trying to put flights into the calendar is quite a hassle, partially because there's no automatic adding to a calendar. If I'm going to do it manually, I'd like the takeoff and landing timezones to be separate. I'd also like to be able to say ***** it and have an absolute time so I don't have to worry about time zones. I can put in that it takes off at 8 and lands at 10 and not worry that I've crossed a time zone.
Also, a frustration that I have is that the time input is above the time zone,…

Indicator for non-visible entries in a given calendar view
When there are events that are outside the currently visible hours for example in the week-view, then they can be easily missed.
Example: I am watching my week and it shows times from 8h till 20h, but there is an event late in the evening at 23h or early in the morning at 6h, then I will miss it because it is not immediately visible in the view.Proposition: Add a small indicator (dot, arrow, whatever) when there are more tasks that are not visible in the current view. That serves as a visual cue so that I can check…

3 Days View on WebApp / Desktop
3 Days View which is currently available on Android / iOS app should also be available on WebApp / Desktop. Currently WebApp / Desktop from my end only has 3 views: Day, Week, Month
I would imagine that this would be easy to implement.

Drive button in desktop application
For the moment, there are only Mail and Calendar buttons available in desktop application. Could be nice to have a button to access Proton Drive.

Integration with TidyCal; Or automatic ICS file to Proton Calendar; or at a minimum fix ICS Import
I realize it would be a big lift to make Proton Calendar work seamlessly with every 3rd party calendar booking app out there. So if you can't prioritze TidyCal, then here are my suggestions in order of preference after this option:
(1) A user should be able to with a couple of clicks, add an ICS file attachment from an email to the Proton Calendar.
(2) A user should be able to upload an ICS file from inside the desktop and mobile apps. Currently this function is broken in both the web browser through the settings, and on the desktop…

Working hours visual indicator
In other calendar software (e.g. Outlook), users are able to specify "working hours" which are then coloured differently (with a lighter shade) in the day or week view.
This helps with visual decluttering - for most, 1:00 AM isn't as important as 11:00AM, for example, so it makes sense to display those differently.

Reply to meeting invite directly from calendar UI
In Outlook, it's possible to reply (not just RSVP, but sending an actual email) to a meeting via context menu of the calendar entry or via the ribbon buttons. (https://filestore.community.support.microsoft.com/api/images/a438f997-7a94-4be9-a79a-3b96507008d5?upload=true)
Being able to reply with an email to the invite directly from the calendar UI without looking for the specific invite is a great efficiency.

Option to attach copy of Proton Drive file to email
Often times I find myself downloading a file from Proton Drive just because I want to send a copy to someone, it would be great if there was an option to directly attach a Proton Drive file from within the email composer.
Note that I specifically want the recipient to have a copy, I don't want to simply send them a shared URL.

Android's Calendar API integration
Android's Calendar API should be incorporated into Proton Calendar, because without that it lacks some fundamental features.
First, if you click a calendar event link, there is no option to open it in Proton Calendar, since it doesn't plug into that intent.
Second, widgets and great launchers (like Niagara) do not see Proton as a calendar, so its events can not be shown. Proton's calendar widget is nice, but it would be much better to have total freedom about launchers and widgets integrate.

Notify subscribers when an event is added/deleted/changed in a shared calendar
As a user I would like to get a notifications, when another users add an event to a shared calendar, so that I know what new events have been added without the need to look through the calendar.
This behaviour should be similar when a users deletes or changes an event in a shared calendar.

Add to Proton Calendar Link
A url that when accessed adds an event to your proton calendar. This would be useful for several reasons:
1) I use these urls + chatgpt to extract event info and add it to my calendar. I've done this with google in the past with great success, but now I use proton calendar and can't do this anymore.
2) Sharing events (such as on websites) that lets people with proton calendar add quickly
3) increasing awareness of proton calendar through viewing of these links5 votes -
week view
while in month view, it would be nice to switch to Week view by clicking the week number (as it is already possible on the tiny calendar on the left), right on the side of the Month view calendar. For now, the weak numbers are shaded grey and “not clickable”.

Ability to delete all calendar events between two dates
One of the primary draws to Proton ecosystem is privacy - but calendars show exactly what someone has been doing between now and when they started using Proton calendars. There needs to be a one-click delete option for all calendar events between two dates.

Show drive time based on event and starting location
like apple calendar when you add a location, you can then select a time to leave and put in a starting location, then based on the starting location and the location of the enent, automatically sets the time to leave based on map data like apple maps.
on the event it shows the driving time aobe the actual start time of the event.
example 15 min drive and the event starts at 10:00pm there would be a drive time event 15min above and attached to the event as the drive time to the event.
this is great as you can…

"Add event to calendar" from apps on mobile devices
The single feature that is preventing me to move fully to Proton Calendar is this one. Many apps (airlines, medical apps, etc) allow you to "add" the event (flight, medical appointment) to your calendar and of course, since Proton Calendar does not have a "calendar" account in the mobile operating system, this doesn't work. Events cannot be added directly to Proton Calendar in one click.
So I also need to have an Apple Calendar for this type of things, suscribe to it in the Proton Calendar app and then it will show. However, travel information and medical appoinments are things…

Side by Side
When viewing two or more calendars, show them side by side, instead of mixed together, as is currently the case. See the image.

Notes, To-do lists, Task's
Notes, Task, to-do list, is essential in any calendar.
Mandatory in Proton Business.
This is the only way to make Proton Calendar a real alternative to Outlook.
They can and must improve.
Much appreciated.2 votes
