Family Plan
Visionary is way too much of space, addresses and domains!
Normal family would use not more than 1GB per user and no more than single custom domain.
Main points for improvement:
- Increase the users to 10
- Decrease storage to 5GB total
- Decrease custom domains to 1
- Remove ProtonVPN
And then have price around 10EUR/month to be truly affordable.
Thanks for your feedback! Family plans are available: https://proton.me/support/get-started-proton-family
For additional suggestions, please create a new feature request.

The only thing stopping me from using Proton mail is the fact that you can't have multiple users on the Plus account. I only need two but families with children will need more. Even if you charged an extra Euro/month it would be fine for most people, You are really excluding a large part of your potential customer base.

I am 100% for a "family" plan. A plan which is somewhere between the plus plan and the professional plan. Everyone has there own needs as far as family size, etc. For my needs it is only for my wife and myself. The biggest thing is I would like to share the calendar (so I can finally get off the google calendar!)
The professional and visionary plans are way to much for our needs. All we would really need is her own email account with the five addresses. We could share the data (and have an option) to pay for more if we would need it. Something like this is a must, or the proton calendar is really pretty useless to me.

Agreed this should be a general feature for all paid multi user accounts.

I seriously need this. I like sharing calendars with my wife and my elderly parents. They're also very skeptical and worried about the internet. Giving them secure emails and VPN would be very ideal. They're afraid to use Debit cards at gas pumps, buy things online, or even pay bills online. They still use checks and mail everything!
Having a family pack of like 8 maximum people or something would be ideal. Families of 6+2 grandparents is pretty common around here.

Both the Professional and Visionary plans are overloaded with features and an expensive consideration when needing to add one additional user account; so is considering purchasing two Plus plans.
Enhancing the Plus plan to add an additional user will add a lot of value to your service and bring an economical solution for your customers.

Making the visionary plan more affordable for families. 30 Euro are probably to much for the most families

The visionary plan is not a usable solution for many families. I would love to only have a basic mail plan for my family with no unneeded VPN (or business) features.
I am a happy plus plan user right now, but sadly I can not pay this much to have my family's email under one domain.
Right know the better and much cheaper solution for me would be to order a similar domain name for each family member and use individual plus accounts.
or just migrate to the competitor. -

Is this still not a thing? Family package would be really nice (share the space and domain), but I don't want to pay double/triple/... of what I pay now. And answer "buy visionary" is also not nice. Please, reconsider.

I would be great if you consider Elderly family members (parents and grandparents) also and the ability to take over an account in case of death. Anyone who is under 70 years old today most likely has an email account. That is tied it with most of their services. It would be great if someone dies (or is taken to hospital and is not conscious) that someone else in the family can have access to that account and manage everything, close any services that that person has created, make any payments or anything else needed etc.
This comes from an actual experience where accessing an email account that has 2nd step authentication added. We cannot manage some services as one member in our family is in hospital with Covid and their phone is with them and we can no longer go to the hospital to recover it as it has been taken to storage (Hospital policy). So we cannot access the the accounts where we need access to the phone as some of the accounts that have SMS 2nd step authentication enabled.
If you add Family Accounts please think wider family not just Mom, Dad and Kids but Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles etc as well. Most likely we all have elderly family members that have some sort of Digital Footprint and helping them manage their accounts or having access to their account would help families worldwide.

"My Files" - Stored and counts against your storage
"Shared Files" - Must be shared option from above but visible here and manageable list of who has access to this vault and in the future the below could be implemented"My Files"
"Shared With Lawyer"
"Shared with Family"
"Shared with Close Friends"
"Shared with Media"*** Obviously everyone would have to have a protondrive account with Free tier able to view only what's shared with them as they have to at this time upgrade to get storage.

Any plan for this idea on the roadmap?

I would like to see a Family account setup. I have a family of 4, but I know families of 8. It would be nice to see a method I could pay for multiple accounts in a family pack.

Many is already said with the difference that I absolutely cheer on your initiative and achivements and I will no doubt continue my support.
Still, please realize that currently, although I am happy to pay a little extra for my kids, they are on free accounts. In the end teaching them about internet privacy and setting the example is important. Would be great if you could support that idea a bit more with an intermediate plan between Plus and Professional, aimed at families, including e.g. a shared family calendar. -

Would love an option to setup a family account. Example: I have a family of six. I would like each of us to have our own account and managed by one admin.
Business accounts are expensive.

+1 for the idea of a Family Plan.
I need three addresses (Me, Wife, Daughter). We all currently have the Free Plan so you aren't making money on us at all and we'd like the added availability of a VPN to protect six devices (phone and PC each). Adding that up it's almost $200 USD a year (166EUR). We don't need 5G of storage. We don't need 1,000 E-Mail a day. We don't need our own domain. We don't need 5 aliases (ok maybe 1 each). This seems like an easy and achievable request and would help ProtonMail / VPN get a larger market share. I'm thinking $50 for the first account and $6 for every account after that (annual). Right now the first encrypted provider to offer this (Tutanota maybe?) gets my business. -

For family that consist of e.g 4 members I have to either buy - 19.99 USD/month Visionary plan (too expensive) or every family member have to buy 3.29USD/user/month Plus plan. Ideally there should be an option to share disc space with other family members or make some extra discount for smaller families

+ I'd like to share my subscription for ProtonBundle (Mail, VPN, Calendar, Drive) with my girlfriend and members of my family for some reasonable price

Agreed, casual users like myself who want a private email account for family members won't make use of the extra features the Professional account gives you - I can't imagine why I'd ever need 2 domains or multiple addresses, and so I personally can't justify the cost, and I'm sure there are many people in the same situation. I'd love to be able to have 2-4 users under the same single domain without paying a premium for extra features that I'll likely never touch.
