  1. Monthly billing for Mail and VPN.

You offer low prices for an exceptional service. However, there are many people worldwide who would love to upgrade, but are living hand to mouth and the upfront outlay for an annual membership to either mail or VPN or both, is just too much for the weekly budget, so they sigh, and think ''one day'' and return to focusing on day to day essentials like rent and phone bill and food. If you allowed a monthly subscription, I'm sure you'd discover a huge uptake. Adjust the rate so annual subscriptions are a little cheaper compared to 12 x monthly payments.…

  2. Accept Bitcoin on the Lightning Network!

The Lightning Network is in beta, but it allows for instant payments (no confirmations) and almost 0% fees, provided the user has a channel open. You already accept Bitcoin... and the Lightning Network is a major upgrade to way people will use BTC to make payments. If you do it soon, you will also get a P.R. boost, as it will inevitably be mentioned in the Bitcoin media.

  3. Bitcoin Cash Payment Option!

Bitcoin transactions fees are now too much, and it may take up to a few hours for a transaction to be confirmed. There's a payment system, which is nearly same of Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash. Its devs have a better vision "low fees, 1 block (10 minutes) transaction confirm time." If you haven't heard of it, here (https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/a/58969/38618) you can see that many wallets support it.

    Kind regards.

  6. Can we please have payments in AUD or NZD for us Oceania users?

Will there ever be payments or subscriptions in AUD or NZD?

  7. Enable users to take payments in BitcoinSV using PayAlias

Paymail is a new service created for BitcoinSV which allows anyone with an email address to receive Bitcoin payments into a linked Bitcoin wallet. The details of how this works are at http://bsvalias.org/
Paymail must be set up for each domain and so far almost all domains that have been set up are privately held.
Protonmail would be an instantaneous leader in the space by allowing their users to receive payments using protonmail.com or pm.me addresses.
I am head of Technology at Faia Corp who are a management consultancy in the BitcoinSV space as well as training and development manager…

  9. Pivx coin payment

PIVX ( Private Instant Verified Transaction ) is a cryptocurrency that prioritizes privacy and decentralized governance. As of 10/16/2017 they will have implemented the Zerocoin protocol to anonymize transactions. The mission ( and the color scheme of purple ) of Pivx and Protonmail align and I'd love to see Proton mail implement a PIVX payment option. For more information on Pivx, please visit pivx.org.

  10. if a payment is missed, convert account to a free one rather than hold our email hostage until we pay

i lost my debit card and the bank issued me a new one, as such, it had a new account number and i didn't think to update my auto-payment info with protonmail.
when it came time to pay again, it failed and held my account hostage.
so i was unable to access my email until i foundout why it was happening, and finally updated it. but in the meantime, it should have simply converted my account to a free one or given a 30 day extention to be able to access my email. what if it was a holiday weekend…

There is a method of setting up recurring payments via Paypal as an approved vendor. I use it on many of my subscription sites. Very convenient.

Dai a product of MakerDao.com is a way to peg to the US dollar without needing to use any banks. It is stable and always a dollar unlike pure cryptocurrencies like btc .

  15. Blind Signature Payments

Implement the Chaum style digital signatures for payments.

Implement blind signature based payments. You pay for Protonmail with your CC or with a traceable crypto, like bitcoin and send in a randomly generated, blinded token. You get a signed token back, and you verify that the token was signed with Protonmail's key. Then you submit the unblinded token back with your account. As long as you use Tor during the submission process your payment to your account is anonymous to Protonmail.

  16. Anonymous payment method

As noted by previous poster(s), anonymity doesn't work if using a valid credit card or paypal. There are payment services which accept gift cards and they process them as cash. This way the gift cards can be purchased closer to anonymous. (Nothing is "absolutely" anonymous, but credit cards are certainly not anonymous.)

Would love a zero knowledge payment option. As it stands, payment via credit card creates unneeded risks, especially in the US, where all credit card activity is tracked and monitored

  18. Local currencies with country-based pricing

It costs the average Russian nearly two day's wages to pay for ProtonMail Visionary. It costs the average German just over two hours.

Average wages vary drastically throughout the world, which is why large international companies like Spotify accomodate poorer nations. The same Spotify premium plan is equiv to USD 18.42 in Denmark compared to USD 4.50 in Argentina. This opens up their market to a global audience who would otherwise be unable to afford their service.

So what can we do to prevent someone in Switzerland paying for ProtonMail in Mexican Pesos?

Global issuer identification numbers: the first six…

  20. make it easier to buy & pay for in australia.E-G,at the post office with Bpay for people who do not use apps/credit cards/paypal/ online pay

Hi, alternative payment option for australians who want a paid a/c ,but do not use credit cards or online payments methods --it's easy with BPAY at post offices in australia.Lots of businesses use it. ie , A proton customer could open free proton a/c then upgrade it when proton sends payment details to the a/c holder, such as customer ref.number--a/c name /payee & BPAY billing code & amount in australian dollars. The proton customer can the go to P.O & get a proton paid a/c. SIMPLE. THANKS--Pete
