1. Simplelogin alias available directly from the compose window iOS/android

   It should be much much easier to create an alias for contacting random entities.

   If one clicks on a link which opens ones email client, one has to to go through several hoops just to set up and send an email them from a SL alias. Especially on a mobile device this is a massive pita.

   When composing, when one taps the 'from' section, along with ones regular email addresses there should be a random SL address to choose instead.

   Types of synchronizations:

   Only unanswered messages (sent or received) need to go through both folders to be followed up. (But they can be found in "All messages")

   The whole thing is a bit confusing.

   What would you think, for this "conversation mode", of grouping (or enabling to be grouped by an option) the two folders "Inbox" and "Sent" into a single folder "Conversations" ?

   Eventually, two labels automatically added, "Received" and "Sent", could differentiate messages in conversations and make them easier to find.

6. Keyboard shortcut to change font size / zoom

   In the ProtonMail app on Windows 10, when drafting or viewing an email, I am unable to use CTRL+wheel or CTRL+/- key to increase/decrease the size of the font. If you do not have this change in progress, please add this to the features in ProtonMail app. Thank you.

7. Proton Linux Distro or recommended list

   This is likely so far outside of Proton's business sphere that it's an instant no-go, but... consider this a "Dear Santa," however unlikely:

   Like a whole lot of people disgusted with Microsoft's Orwell 10 Terms of Use requirement that users acquiesce to coding that lays their entire computer open to the presumably angelic little MS employees in their cubicles up in Redmond, Wa, USA, I'm looking for an alternative OS so I can ditch the Microsoft Borg altogether. (Windows 7 is getting a little difficult to work with these days. 8^) And given that Apple is just as bad if not worse (and I can't stand their GUI in any case,) that means: Linux.

   So the instant concern for me with Linux is that given a.) open source - which contrary to popular opinion I do not see as a necessary positive - and b.) any distro that you download leaves you at the mercy of the author(s) of that distro and with a leap-of-faith trust in their ethics... wouldn't it be great if an already-trusted entity like Proton were to produce its own set of downloadable Linux distros?

   A ton of work, presumably, but failing that: How about Proton host a page with a collection of Linux distros that Proton has vetted for integrity, so that people seeking to divorce themselves from Microsoft can pick a LInux variety with reasonable confidence?

   Currently I'm struggling to get a Linux variant called Robolinux running - which promises the ability to run Windows programs on it hassle-free, among a bunch of other appealing privacy-related features - but have come up against its creator's incredible, unprovoked hostility and rudeness to any user with the audacity to ask something as simple as "how can I get the iso file to boot from a disc?" And this after having forked over 60 bucks USD for his Advanced Update package, on the expectation that he might be at least a little grateful to his customers. Ohhhboy. 'Will flail away at this until my patience runs out, and then it's off to... search for another distro that's trustworthy.

   Which is by no means a definite thing. Hence the desire for a reputable source - like Proton - to present a selection that's been vetted for ethics and trustworthiness.

   A brainstorm idea, but thought I'd throw it out there. And I didn't even go into my even crazier wish for a completely new OS. (I keep wondering why, with computing being one of the largest industries on Earth, as late as 2024 we're still stuck with just three (3) OS options. There should be three dozen available. But I digress.)

   Please 'scuse the textwall, but just wanted to throw these ideas out there.

9. Mobile device management for Proton for Business

   I’d like to have mobile device management features in Proton for Business plans. It would allow enabling work profile on Android (https://www.android.com/enterprise/work-profile/) so that users can have both their Proton personal account and professional account in isolated profiles on their device. I guess the same kind of feature exists for iPhones.

10. Create limited passwords to access certain parts of a Proton account

    Summary:
    Allow users to create a second, "limited" password for their Proton account, which would only provide access to limited data (e-mails and Proton Pass data) of their choosing.

    How it would work:

    1. A user creates a limited password for their account and chooses which of their Proton e-mail addresses and Proton Pass data are accessible with it.

    2. Upon logging in with the limited password, only those selected addresses (and associated messages and data) and Proton Pass passwords are visible and accessible.

    3. Other e-mail addresses and Proton Pass data remain completely hidden and inaccessible.

    Purpose:
    Limited passwords would help users better protect their most sensitive data by only allowing access to and knowledge of data which the user has deemed less sensitive.

    This would help users protect their data in the following scenarios:
    - When forced to reveal their password under duress.
    - When users need to allow family and next of kin to access their data in emergency situations.
    - When logging in on devices or networks that can't be fully trusted.

    Note:
    To protect against duress, limited passwords should be implemented in such a way that when using them to log in, an attacker cannot determine if the password provided by the user is a limited password or the full password.

    Summary:

14. Inactivity options, sign-out/lock

    The new desktop client does not have "Keep me signed in" as an option because that is its default and it can't be altered.

    This is not documented for the new desktop client which can lead to people wasting time trying to sort out what is happening.

    What does this do:
    If you don't sign out but simply close the app window next time the protonmail app starts you are not challenged for a password. This still occurs if you reboot the laptop/pc/virtual machine.

    The only time you have enter a password is when you reset the process by signing out from the app itself.

    This may be fine for the home environment but not for business. For security reasons best to have logons for each desktop application and not rely upon locking your desktop all the time.

    For business and some home users it be best to make it optional.

    Add the ability to generate one-time passwords to log in to Proton apps (mail, pass, VPN), without the need of typing in the "master password" to log in to any of these apps on new/insecure devices. Generated one-time password (if app specific) can be shared with someone or used to log in to only the app it was generated for (e.g. ProtonVPN) to keep the main account password and the rest of your apps secure

17. Hashing phone contacts

    I've looked everywhere for a app that can hash who I'm calling and not display the number directly and not log it in my call register or at the least a option to choose as from time to time family may need to use my phone but I may not want them to visually be able to see whom has been called and for it to be hashed with no log history my hope was that there was some kind of hashing app or where I could just have the contacts picture without displaying the contact details directly

20. Update without logging out

    The recent ProtonMail for Android 4.0.4 update logged me out and I missed some important emails. I only realized the update had logged me out when I wondered "why haven't I received any email for the past few days?" and opened the app.

    Please don't log users out when you update your apps. Or if that's unavoidable, at least send a notification to say something like "ProtonMail was just updated and we had to log you out. Please log back in so you don't miss any notifications"
