1. Proton Profile

   I want a firefox/windows feature that captures my user profile. I can launch it on a fresh linux install and it immediately brings my entire user profile down to the local device - so i can start working right where i left off.
   All my short cuts, firefox favorites, etc.

   Ideal for say a debian live usb stick - i install proton profile and boom im productive immediately right where i left off.

   It local self destructs based on user setting or on idle.

   For the Windows app, there are no screen sharing options that pop up, unlike in the browser (Brave, Edge) where I can choose to share a tab, my window or entire screen.

   When you press the screen sharing button, your full screen is shared immediately.

3. Advanced Category Grouping

   Overview:
   We need to enhance the sorting capabilities in Proton Mail to better support users managing multiple email addresses. The goal is to introduce an Outlook-style "Group by Category" sorting feature to improve inbox navigation.

   Customizable Category Grouping (Outlook-Style)

   Functionality: Within these folders, users need a customizable category display similar to the Outlook desktop app.

   Sorting Logic: When an email is assigned a category, the user should be able to sort the folder by these categories.

   Primary Sort: Group emails by Category.

   Secondary Sort: Within each category block, emails must be sorted chronologically.

   UI/UX Behavior (Collapsible/Top-Level Display): When the "Sort by Category" view is active, the categories should act as collapsible headers. At a glance (or when collapsed), the user should see the categories listed right at the top of the folder. This ensures the user does not have to scroll down past all the folders and hundreds of emails in one category just to reach the next one.

   Implementation: * This grouped view should be an optional toggle integrated directly into the existing "Sort" dropdown menu (e.g., a "Group by Category" option).

   The standard, continuous scrolling view must still be available for users who prefer the legacy layout.

5. Show the server's city in the Linux App.

   California is a big place with at least two server locations. Differentiating between the two in the GUI would be nice, and I'm sure California isn't the only region that would benefit from some specificity.

7. Add copy headers to clipboard

   Hi,

   It would be nice to have a copy e-mail headers button, so that I can paste it in to my favorite editor. I like the download as file button, but usually I just copy it to the editor for easier reading.

8. Approve login request on mobile to log in (passwordless login)

   Currently when I login on my Desktop through a webbrowser on a Proton web service I need to fill-in my MFA code, instead off filling in a MFA code I wou like the possibility to get a pop-up on my Phone and approve it with bio metric validation.

9. Would be cool if anyone could vibe code apps within Proton environment

   I used Claude to make a not so simple todo "app" that loads in my browser. Works great! Would be great if it ran inside Proton Drive or wherever it would be encrypted and synced. In fact, would be great if we could vibe code whatever we wanted inside Proton encryption universe and it syncs the data. Apps could be private or public. Proton could have an entire app "store" of user made apps.

   I have never written a line of code in my life. This idea is for non-coders!

    Proton Meet: Allow the host of a locked meeting to selectively admit new attendees. The problem is that as it stands now a meeting is either locked or unlocked. If it is locked, there is no way to admit anyone else without unlocking the entire meeting which then allows anyone with the link to enter. Selectively admitting guests to a locked meeting gives the host much more control over securing a meeting.

    Currently, administrative functions (billing, user management, domains, policies) and personal user settings (mail preferences, calendar settings, app configurations) are mixed within the same interface. This creates confusion, increases the risk of accidental changes, and blurs the line between organizational control and individual customization.

    Create a clear separation between:

    • Admin Panel for organization-wide settings (billing, users, domains, security policies)
    • User Settings for personal preferences (signatures, themes, notifications, app behavior)

    This separation should apply both in the UI and in the underlying permission model.

    Admins can focus on organizational tasks without navigating through user-level options. Users get a cleaner interface without seeing settings they cannot change anyway. It also improves security by reducing the attack surface when a regular user account is compromised.

13. Mobile Apps: Do not prompt for FIDO2 pin (be consistent with website)

    I don't know about the Android apps, but on iOS, the dialogue prompts for the pin when using a security key.

    This is not the case on the website, and in my opinion, requesting the pin only makes sense when the key is the only factor, in Proton's case, the user's password is already required.

14. Calendar Events Notification. A Daily Mystery

    What would be actually useful would be to see the actual "event" title in the email notification subject, rather than the mysterious and cryptic "Reminder: event starting on..." especialy when you have 10 of these turn up in a row.

    I recently considered switching my nonprofit from Proton for Business to Ksuite for business because of several items Infomaniak offered that Proton does not:

    1. Captions in video meetings: Please allow captions or transcriptions ProtonMeet. This is an accessibility issue.

    2. Shared email addresses: For a business, the ability to share an email address across uses is simply a must. For example, several users may need to access and check info@business.com and reply from it.

    3. Connect an existing OnlyOffice drive/account: We have an existing OnlyOffice drive and would love to be able to connect that to our Proton drive. We learned that Kdrive would allow connection of both OnlyOffice and another type of drive so users could simplify their workspace.

    4. A single platform workspace: While nether Proton nor Ksuite offers a single app that integrates email, calendar, and drive all into one workspace, Ksuite did have a browser-based platform that put them all in one space. Not everyone in my team is tech savvy and a single space work app for both desktop and mobile would certainly simplify things for our users.

    For now, I'm sticking with Proton for our team, but these are improvements that would certainly show why Proton is the best choice.

17. Android Proton Apps in single, verifiable, supported Repository

    Currently Proton makes all of its APKs available via protonapps.com; however it does not make the primary pages for the APKs easy to access or obvious. Additionally, Proton has been previously committed to following a more open-source modelling, publishing to Github. However consistency across Proton Apps is quite poor, and trying to access APKs via this method easily (in essence, as per an RSS feed) is not ideal.

    I note that Proton partially supports alternative with VPN and Pass both on F-Droid. Whilst the GrapheneOS community often has issues with this, it is ultimately up to the user.

    I would recommend that Proton however commits entirely to at least 1 complete solution to allow reliable and clear alternaive access to APKs outside fo the Google Play environment for its entire app suite.

    Any of these would be fine, but it requires fully published and current APK files and the proper support to enable easy tracking and validation

    My personal preference is Accrescent as a more rigorous privacy-centric "storefront", it would seem the missions of Proton overlap with projects like Graphene and Accrescent - and the benefit of the latter is that it would not lock people into Graphene either by default.

    I have one suggestion at this time, instead of calling the video conference app "Proton Meet" is it possible to call it "Proton Engage" because "Meet" resonates the nightmare that Google has imposed on us with Gmail's "Google Meet" that is scary beyond imagination.
