1. Yubikey support without authenticator app

   Please add yubikey support on all products?

   Individual passwords per product would be a good feature.

   Please remove authenticator app dependency or release a proton authenticator app.

   And please lose the Google integration completely!!! Most of us use proton to get rid of Google.

2. Proton Maps

   A web and mobile maps-like application based on the free OpenStreetMap data. The app allows to privately search for locations, save favorite locations, get directions, and possibly share the users' location for a limited time with other Proton users. Moreover, users can create custom maps with custom paths or GPS points.

3. Quantumcomputer Encryption [SECURITY THREAT]

   "SAVE NOW, DECRYPT LATER" is a big threat to all of our data and it's affecting us already.

   Considering Proton is at the frontier of online security and the relatively new announcements of NISTs Quantum Encryption methods, I would suggest you look into applicability of those methods to your services.

   I hope this makes it up the ladder, because this SECURITY BREACH AFFECTS EVERY PROTON USER AND EVERY SINGLE INFORMATION: Starting with all email traffic, to drive documents, calendar and even all browser history through ProtonVPN. To go even further, proton users and VPN exit nodes could be specially monitored, considering their interest in privacy and high percentage of journalists and similar people with sensitive information.

   Your users would surely all be really glad to hear they're save against "Save now, Decrypt later" attacks, new users would roll over too, and it would set a great example for other industries; and since you're not only at the frontier of online security & privacy but also engineering folk, which translates new research into applicable everyday usage, IF NOT YOU, THAN WHO?

4. Proton messenger

   Probably I'm too obvious but I do not understand why don't you work (or maybe u do) on Proton Messenger. War in my country has shown that you need a secure message exchange system. The best messenger on the market is Telegram. It is really the best one, no one is even close from all of the points of view except security, because they do nothing to prove they don't work with the Russian government. And basically, there is indirect evidence that they have some collaboration with FSB.
   I trust Signal but it is a disaster from a UX perspective. Same as Watsup, Viber..... etc.

5. Monthly Billing

   Is there any way to pay the billing on a monthly basis instead of having to pay it all at once for the entire year? It would be really helpful if there was an option to do so, especially for Brazilian users.

6. GNOME Online Accounts

   GNOME is the most popular desktop on Linux, being used by the most popular distributions, including Ubuntu. One of my favorite features that it has is GNOME Online Accounts (GOA), a background service that allows you to seamlessly access your data from several providers using the system apps like Calendar and Files.

   Google, Microsoft, and NextCloud are fully supported. It would be amazing to have this same level of support for Proton. I'd love to be able to seamlessly use Proton Mail in Geary without having to setup the bridge, upload files to Proton Drive using GNOME Files and create events in GNOME Calendar.

   I don't mind the hurdles for the time being, but honestly this is the only thing that is stopping me from going and buying multiple years of Proton Unlimited.

   With that out of the way, here's some technical information that I've gathered on my own:

   • GOAs email integration supplies applications with the IMAP and SMTP configuration they need to use, so a bridge would still be necessary, though for the code to be merged into GOA, it would probably have to be in C, which would mean a reimplementation just for this. Alternatively, it might be possible to make it so that GOA providers can require that a given name be registered with DBus, and then the existing Go implementation could just register itself with DBus once its connected, and have the Go implementation give GOA the SMTP/IMAP login info through DBus.
   • Calendar integration would require CalDAV support
   • Contacts integration would require CardDAV support
   • Files integration would require a custom GVFS mount

   According to one of the GNOME developers, they are "fairly sure" that this support won't be added by them anytime soon, due to the technical complexity. However, if Proton itself contributed the code, I'm sure they would be willing to merge it, assuming Proton continued to maintain their piece of the code.

7. Stop with politics

   I just read your newsletter. I don't care what Proton thinks of Ukraine or Covid or any other issue going on in the planet. I want an email service. That is all. Don't give money to any causes, use it to improve your services. Keep your opinions out of it. Leave giving to causes to your individual employees or owners. I am seriously considering leaving your service if you don't stop this virtue signaling madness.

9. Suggest the following calendar improvements: Search function and the option to make appointments different colours

   Have been a Google Calendar user for a number of years and just switched to Proton Calendar. Proton Calendar surprised me as it is very smooth to use but it feels a bit naked without a calendar search function and different colours for appointments.
   The calendar becomes even more useful business tool if you can search it for customer details and a multiple colour option for commitments would enable fast recognition of important at a glance.
   Will miss these features from Google Calendar.

14. Finance manager

    Is there data more sensitive than finance data? I'd really like to have a Proton Finance app like KMymoney, Skrooge, etc. which can be accessed from web UI, mobile or desktop app.
    There are very few alternatives that provide multi-platform support and one needs to trust their privacy and security, which are your best characteristics.

16. Notes/Descriptions for "My Addresses" aliases

    Similar to how SimpleLogin allows you to add notes for each alias (under an alias's "Alias Description") so you can remember which aliases exist for which purpose, it would be helpful to have this feature as an option in the "My Addresses" section for ProtonMail as well. The more e-mail ProtonMail addresses one has, the more useful this would be!

17. Contacts App for Personal CRM

    I love privacy focused services like Proton, but the reality is that I am social in real life and require software to manage how I network. Personal CRM tools such as Covve are incredibly useful because it doesn't rely on using privacy invading social network platforms. It would be amazing if Proton offered to use my contacts as a personal CRM so I can take notes on my personal interactions and schedule reminders to follow up with people.
