Keyboard shortcuts
Authy's desktop app is (was) handy in that I could switch to the app and start typing, without using the mouse, to pull up the account for which I need(ed) a TOTP code. With Proton Pass, I have to click in the search bar before typing to search. It would be appreciated and convenient if there were a keyboard shortcut to jump to the search bar in the Proton Pass desktop app.
Additionally, it would be beneficial if there were keyboard shortcuts to jump to different fields of the desktop app and to copy or edit them, without having to use the mouse. Currently the only option for such is to repeatedly mash Tab.
Thank you, Proton, for your hard work!

I totally second this. I spend so much time and it is so annoying to have to move the mouse around all the time!

I think it's ridiculous that Proton Pass doesn't have an autofill shortcut. That must have been one of the first features implemented, however, it's been ignored for more than two years. I also work in software development, and honestly, this single issue is making me think that maybe Proton is not as innovative as it seems.

this is a a major missing functionality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
its not even clear how you created duplicates when i have NONE in my former password manager.
maybe i will go back to old manager... -

This is an absolute must if ProtonPass wants to compete with other password managers. How is this not implemented yet?

PLEASE PLEASE - support browser keyboard shortcut to autofill just like Bitwarden. It saves a lot of time and isn't hard to implement from an engineering perspective. **** if you give access to your source coard I could have my Ai agents help get it done.

This is one of the main reasons I am currently staying with 1Password as it is such an incredible useful feature. Looking up License codes or other information that you quickly want to access (which are not browser based and do not work with autofill)

Seems to me like a duplicate of: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/953584-proton-pass/suggestions/48860228-keyboard-shortcut-for-system-wide-access-to-search

I would love to have this as well. Moved from KeypassXC and the keyboard shortcuts (Desktop app) were amazing

I would love to see a feature similar to Keepass as well, an auto fill hotkey for username, password, Username [tab] password. I find this feature is great for users that do not install the browser extension to keep their password manager away from the browser. Since the browser is the most vulnerable tool we use to access the internet. With the password manager being used in the background at least I feel more secure than having them attached as an extension.

Autofill doesn't work pretty often with logins. It would be nice to have a hotkey that can force it the same way that Bitwarden does.

KeepassXC has a few handy shortcuts that I'm missing here:
- CTRL+F - search (after searching you can navigate with arrow keys to pick from the list of matching results).
- CTRL+B - copy username
- CTRL+C - copy password
- CTRL+T - copy TOTPThis enables a really nice keyboard only flow in which you can ALT+TAB between windows to paste all of the necessary credentials into the browser.
It also has a shortcut for full autofill, which a lot of people might like but personally I don't like it because it basically executes a sequence of actions that paste your username and password with pressing tab in between and it creates a risk of accidentally pressing it and revealing your credentials somewhere.

I used KeepassXC before, and it had great autofill feature triggered by keyboard shortcut. when no match was found, it would show a search bar to look up the right login - it was perfect!
edit: perfect is going a bit far, it did occationally fill the wrong fields or type into nothing...
the best solution I can think of is to trigger a search bar with a keyboard shortcut, and then be able to either autofill or copy either username or password - I don't mind triggering the feature twice, once for username and again for password.

I signed up for proton pass on the $1/month lifetime deal a couple years ago. I still havent' switched over to proton from lastpass because this single feature isn't there.
I hope proton adds it some time.

This feature is why I keep using Bitwarden

Helpful when combing through duplicates manually since an auto feature still isn't available. A keyboard shortcut for delete would also be helpful.

Duplicate, please vote in both places (or can mods merge the idea)

Bitwarden has this - the TOTP is copied to the clipboard after the password has been filled to the field, then it's just Ctrl+V and enter to get past the TOTP field.

Forcing users to use a mouse to click on things is not a good idea. This application is just an experiment until it has keyboard shortcut support.
