  1. Prioritize Calendars

    Give priorities to created calendars.
If i use the "month view", and have a calendar for all my working hours, one for birthdays, one for private events etc. it would be nice if i could give my work calendar a first prio, so its always shown at the top, then my private events and then birthdays. so the events dont get all mixed and jumping all over the place, when doing an overview of the month.

  2. Option for Disable screenshots and thumbnails in Proton Calendar Android

Option for Disable screenshots and thumbnails in Proton Calendar Android, just like Proton Mail and ProtonPass (on Android) already have.

  3. hide recipients in calendar

for the calendar, i want to have the option to hide recipients / attendees. this way i can be within gdpr compliance and not share people's emails without consent. it can be by way of bcc (similar to email) or a simple hide attendees checkbox.

  4. Set the hour automatically from the title of an event

Google Calendar has a very intuitive feature that allows to gain a lot of time when creating multiple events in a calendar.

If I type "16:00 Dentist", the hour automatically sets on 16:00 and ends after the default duration.
If I type "16:00-18:00 Dentist", the beginning and ending hour are automatically set.

It works also for other formats, such as 16h-18h, 4pm-6pm...

I just moved from Google to Proton and this is the one main feature I am missing.

    Please consider introducing it :)

    Thank you!

  5. Add a dublicate button for calendar events on android

I'd like to dublicate existing calendar events on the android app and edit just a few parameters of the dublicated event. Currently this is only possible on the web app. On the android app I have to manually create new events every single time and enter all parameters again, which is quite annoying.

  6. Add 'email attendees' button to events

As a user, I want to send an email to all of the guests of a meeting without having to laboriously re-enter all of the email addresses in my email client.

A button to "email all attendees" would be super nice.

  7. Faster access to one day event notification (drop down or set default)

Add One Day to the drop down for event notifications. A notification on the day before is the most common needed, yet it is missing from the choices… and making a custom one each time is a time killer.

  8. Holidays and Observances Filter

Hi, I live in South Africa and with our multi cultural nation there are many days that your calendar shows that are important days for the different religions and cultures, but are not "official" public holidays according to government.

I would suggest that some filter so users can at least decide to see only "official" public holidays or all like you have now.

First prize would be to have checkbox filter by category for example:
    * Official Public Holidays and Observances
    * Christian Holidays and Observances
    * Hindu Holidays and Observances
    * Islamic Holidays and Observances

    Thank you for the…

  9. Add more holiday calendars!

I am aware that a similar request already exists about holidays. I think that more calendars should be created and made available to suit specific user subgroups. For example; individual religious calendars to add in Bhuddist, Christian, Islamic, Jewish, and Shinto observances. Another one for bank holidays, another one for groups like UK holidays, EU holidays (US Holidays already exists), and then subgroups for individual national holidays. This would give users a wide range of flexibility without daunting complexity or the clutter and constraint of a few add-ins of large groups of holidays.

  11. Need expanded shared calendar permissions

Under permissions for shared calendars, it needs a few more options.

Currently when sharing with other proton users there is only:
    - View only
    - view and edit

We need a few more options:
    - View as free/busy (contents hidden, only time blocks visible)
    - View all details (standard view only)
    - View and Edit (able to view and edit/create/delete events)
    - view, edit, and manage sharing (able to view, edit/create/delete events, and manage sharing - invite, remove, etc - of calendar)

This beneficial for individuals, freelancers, businesses, families, etc.

  12. Digital Planner Features / Habit Tracker

Digital planners are all the rage these days (especially with women). Some features of planners in a secure and digital platform. Habit Tracker with integration to tasks/calendar would be primary.

  13. Check/to-do list, routine feature and urgency/importance level + emojis (on desktop/web)

I think a checklist and sub-task feature to add the ability to mark off calendar items that are finished and repeat common tasks easier would be beneficial. The current set-up makes it difficult to keep records of what was done and can get overwhelming to look at. The user needs to laboriously go back and change titles or descriptions to know what was successfully completed.

The checklist could be similar to height.app where there are just boxes to check each thing or crossing off the task. Checking something off just needs to be easy and simple with as minimal steps…

  14. Make app icons pinnable in the sidebar

Currently, you have to click the four-dot menu to switch applications. It would be much faster if we could pin the application icons below or above the action button (e.g., 'New Event' in the calendar). This would make switching between applications more efficient.

  15. Family Planner View

To use proton calendar as a family planer it would be very useful to have a view that displays the days in rows and the different calendars as columns. Given that every family member has his/her own calendar, this view would generate a nice overview of what appointments everyone has on a specific day.

  16. Notify subscribers when an event is added/deleted/changed in a shared calendar

As a user I would like to get a notifications, when another users add an event to a shared calendar, so that I know what new events have been added without the need to look through the calendar.

This behaviour should be similar when a users deletes or changes an event in a shared calendar.

  17. Colour events based on keywords

Now that calendar events can have individual colours, (THANK YOU! <3) I would love to be able to set keywords at a calendar level that automatically set an event's colour.

For example my calendar's default colour is yellow, but if I create an event that starts with "Work:" it automatically updates to a different colour.

This is something that GCal et al don't offer (as far as I know) and I think it would be a good feature.

  18. Time fields should not require typing a colon

Calendar (web): When you create an event and you tab into a time field, if you type the time without colons (eg 1123) it should be accepted as 11:23, meanwhile only 11 is understood, and when you blur the field, the value gets validated down to 11:00. It should understand the full value without user typing the colon.

  20. Proton.cal.new

When I used to use Google calendar, I would just type cal.new on the browser and that would lead me to an event creation page directly, which was quite efficient and productive.

I was wondering whether something like this could be made with protonmail and protoncalendar.

    Thank you.
