Dayforce support
Add support for calendar sync with Ceridian dayforce.
Ceridian dayforce is a scheduling app used by companies so workers can see when theyre planned in. This app has a local calendar sync feature built in that currently doesnt work with proton calendar.

RSVP functionality
I'd like to see the ability to RSVP (Respondez s'il vous plait) to events. This would allow me to easily indicate my attendance (Yes, No, Maybe) to event organizers, similar to how it works in other calendar applications.

Show drive time based on event and starting location
like apple calendar when you add a location, you can then select a time to leave and put in a starting location, then based on the starting location and the location of the enent, automatically sets the time to leave based on map data like apple maps.
on the event it shows the driving time aobe the actual start time of the event.
example 15 min drive and the event starts at 10:00pm there would be a drive time event 15min above and attached to the event as the drive time to the event.
this is great as you can…

Android's Calendar API integration
Android's Calendar API should be incorporated into Proton Calendar, because without that it lacks some fundamental features.
First, if you click a calendar event link, there is no option to open it in Proton Calendar, since it doesn't plug into that intent.
Second, widgets and great launchers (like Niagara) do not see Proton as a calendar, so its events can not be shown. Proton's calendar widget is nice, but it would be much better to have total freedom about launchers and widgets integrate.

Configure default notifications
I don't want an Email reminder, as I check my calendar on a regular basis, but as of now I have to remember to remove the mail notification each time I create a new calendar item.
Some means of configuring default notification mechanism(s) such as on-screen notification, email, SMS etc would improve my user experience a lot

Month - Week - Day view toggle button
Substitute the current drop-down menu with individual buttons or icons or a single toggle button for a quicker toggle between Month - Week - Day view, at least for wider screens. Havint to use 2 clicks for such a feature, which I frequently use, slows down the worflow.

Sometime this week option
Not all events or tasks can (or should) have a scheduled time, or even day. The ability to create a “Sometime this week” task/event, would be really useful.
It could float day to day as the week progresses if it’s not marked ‘done’ or whatever, and at the end of the week we’d have a quick view at the things we did NOT get to that we wanted to, and that we DID get done.

hide recipients in calendar
for the calendar, i want to have the option to hide recipients / attendees. this way i can be within gdpr compliance and not share people's emails without consent. it can be by way of bcc (similar to email) or a simple hide attendees checkbox.

I hope you will create a file sync app for Linux similar to the ones for Windows and Mac.

Distinguish recurring events
This is a minor quality-of-life improvement, but one that I - and hopefully others - would find immensely useful. I would like to request the addition of a visual indicator in the main calendar view if an event is a recurring one (Outlook does this with a circular double-arrow symbol). If one instance of a recurring event is altered, that symbol becomes crossed-out, but remains visible as to distinguish between recurring events, altered recurring event entries, and single events.

Contacts missing 'state' field
Not sure why we can't add a "normal" US address to Proton Calendar's Contacts. We have fields for...
Street Address
Postal Code
City
Region
CountryWe are missing State.
I am surprised that it doesn't support a standard US address in this format:
Street Address
City, State ZipIt should also be displayed this way on the contact pop-up screen.
Please add this functionality.
Just started using Proton Calendar today and it is missing a LOT of standard functionality.
It's hard to want to switch over when it can't even support adding Mother's Day as the second Sunday of May…

Set the hour automatically from the title of an event
Google Calendar has a very intuitive feature that allows to gain a lot of time when creating multiple events in a calendar.
If I type "16:00 Dentist", the hour automatically sets on 16:00 and ends after the default duration.
If I type "16:00-18:00 Dentist", the beginning and ending hour are automatically set.It works also for other formats, such as 16h-18h, 4pm-6pm...
I just moved from Google to Proton and this is the one main feature I am missing.
Please consider introducing it :)
Thank you!

Accepting an event should be associated to the recipient's email
It is a bug, but the support said it's more like a feature.
Accepting an event invite associates the event with the default email address instead of the recipient's one.
- Assume you have X@protonmail.com and Y@mydomain.com addresses.
- You receive a calendar invite on Y@mydomain.com.
- If you accept, Proton Calendar accepts it as X@protonmail.com instead of Y@mydomain.com
At the moment, you have to manually go to Proton Calendar, edit the invite, associate it with Y@mydomain.com, save it, and accept the invite.
Of course, there are edge cases such as aliases, but that's the power of it.
