Mailspring support for ProtonMail Bridge
ProtonMail Bridge has bugs integrating with the Mailspring email client. The Mailspring team have expressed interest in working together to get these issues resolved. If the bugs could be fixed and the Bridge could get working with Mailspring it would be a great productivity booster!
Please add mailspring support/compatibility to Protonmail
I'd be willing to sign up for a paid plan if there is Mailspring support.

I would love to be able to use Mailspring with ProtonMail.
Perhaps if ProtonMail considers doing a closed community to help develop this feature. Expose the source code and have developers sign an NDA to work on this feature would go a long way to adding support and foster better relations with the community.
Please add support ! It would simplify everyone's lives.
Proton bridge has to be more flexible. It is such a disappointment to be locked to Thunderbird on Linux.

Please make some progress.. 🙈
I'm actually considering dropping ProtonMail just because of this. All my other emails are properly tied to Mailspring, except ProtonMail.
lol it has been ages this issue exists!
pls fix it. we pay you guys good money for the service and we expect it to work with a mail client as popular as mailspring. I love proton, and I love mailspring. MULTIPLY THE LOVE BY FIXING THE SMTP INTEGRATION!
I filed the original issue on GitHub and would really love to use Protonmail with the same efficiency I use other email services. The Mailspring community has been great I'm tracking the issue, let's get this fixed!
Please do! We need a good tool for desktop!
The current options to the bridge are not what we expect, they are "old" in terms of the way we use emails nowadays.
This would be great.
Please do this. Mailspring is awesome and runs on any platform, the developers want to get this done. They have tracked the issue down to be a matter of quoting strings in IMAP responses, so it is likely that it wouldn't be a huge amount of work to get it done, and since they are using a standard linux library it should fix the bridge for a large number of clients.
I might actually cancel and switch to a different mail service if I cant get proper client support soon.
Please add this, it has been suggested since 2017 and there seems to bee no interest from protonmail.

Seconded! It's what keeps me from using ProtonMail full-time.
Yes, I would like this too!
