Specify More Granular Label and Folder Colors
Allow for the creation/implementation of more granular folder and label colors than the pre-selected, pre-named options currently available. The former iteration of ProtonMail prior to the implementation of a theme to resemble that of the ProtonMail I had used from 2019 was preferable in some aspects of its simplicity.
Users should be able to create folders without a color specified - for example would be an improvement given the folder colors and folder titles cannot be searched, but likely have some other functionality that doesn't necessarily preclude using no-color as a folder property. In a real world filing system, there are usually generic standardized colored folders, or folders that adhere to a Jungian neutral or stroop neutral selection. Labels likely for User Interface purposes, require the selection of a color, but even this might be improved by allowing more specific color gradiation with a color picker, and perhaps labeling those ranges of specific colors based on their RGB or HEX values. Many users whom use ProtonMail might proffer to propagate their own labeling schema with this, though this perhaps adds an additional computational cost to ProtonMail by adding another database parameter for each user.
