Option to hide the Proton Mail Bridge icon from the macOS menu bar
There should clearly be an option to hide the Proton Mail Bridge icon from the macOS menu bar.
There is little to no utility in having the icon present in the menu bar at all times. Proton Mail Bridge is arguably a "set it and forget it"-kind of deal.
It's an option that virtually every macOS app with a menu bar icon has, and I'm guessing it was missed out because it's a functionality that is handled by the OS itself on Windows (being able to hide system tray icons).
Hiding of the menu bar icon doesn't necessarily need to be the default option, but it should clearly be an option.

Agreed 100%. On the new Macs with the notch, only a limited number of menubar icons can be shown. I hate this, but as long as it's a limitation of the MacOS system, I have to prioritize which menubar icons I want to be seen. ProtonMail Bridge is never the option. Oftentimes I just quit the Bridge app to make it go away but this isn't optimal at all. It's the kind of small thing that will eventually make me stop trying to use ProtonMail as my primary email.
