I am grateful for my overall experience using the Proton Mail service. I've recently tried the Proton Desktop app and found it quite useful for my needs. However, I would greatly appreciate an additional security feature for accessing the Proton Desktop app, such as a pin login or password protection prompt whenever we launch it.

This feature would make the Proton Desktop app more secure and convenient, eliminating the need for third-party email software like Thunderbird, which only provides part of the Proton Mail experience. However, it offered password protection as I described. Additionally, my concern about this requested feature stems from the fact that accessing the service through a web browser can expose significant security risks, mainly if unauthorized access occurs.
