  1. Support Monero

Currently the wallet only supports Bitcoin. Please add support to a more privacy oriented blockchain. Monero seems to be the recommended.

  5. Store fiat currencies

Proton Wallet should support storing fiat currency such as GBP, EUR and USD.

Of course these currencies could not be stored in the same way as crypto, but it would be amazing to be able to store them with Proton.

Having the ability to create and use virtual cards from Proton would go very well with this.

  6. Proton Pay - credit / debit card alias

    Replacement to GooglePay or ApplePay.

To elaborate, a wallet that can link PayPal, credit cards (then create virtual card numbers so that the real card number is not actually exposed). It would be a cool bonus to see and manage recurring payments and such too.

  7. Support Ethereum and Ethereum-based Coins

Ethereum currently has the most vast quantity of cryptos under its wing. Please enable support, as it would likely lead to more widespread adoption of the wallet.

  8. Add a privacy card feature (like Privacy.com)

It's really nice to be able to create alias credit cards that you can manually change the threshold on or pause/stop anytime you want. This is really good keeping your card details private and also avoiding your info getting leaked from data breaches (happens all the time to companies that have your card details stored).

  11. Support for cold wallets + multisig

Being able to monitor offline addresses is critical as cold wallets are the most secure way to store bitcoin. I should also be able to create transactions on the app then use NFC to transfer them to cold wallets for signing.

In addition to this supporting multisig with hardware wallets would be amazing.

  12. Support Bitcoin Silent Payments

It would be great to see Silent Payments supported in Proton Wallet, since it would allow for Bitcoin transaction privacy in the app. This feature has already been implemented in Cake Wallet.

  17. Support Litecoin

ProtonWallet should accept Litecoin, as its robust tokenomics make it a reliable and efficient option for payments. Litecoin is often regarded as the "silver to Bitcoin's gold" because it was created by Charlie Lee in 2011 as a fork of the Bitcoin Core client, aiming to address perceived limitations in Bitcoin, particularly in terms of transaction speed and cost. Like Bitcoin, Litecoin has a fixed supply, capped at 84 million coins, which helps to maintain its value over time and prevents inflation.

Litecoin operates on a similar proof-of-work (PoW) consensus mechanism, ensuring a secure and decentralized network. However, it uses…

  19. Support BitcoinCash

I currently use Mullvad, a VPN that accepts three cryptocurrencies; Bitcoin, Monero, and BitcoinCash.

My proposal suggests adding XMR and BCH to both Proton Wallet and the accepted payment methods for Protonmail.

Both of these currencies are extremely reliable, basically free to use, and easily made private with one being opt-in. BTC doesn't have any of these qualities in any shape or form without losing custody or experiencing extreme friction.

Be more like Mullvad, or simply be smart. What use is a wallet if you can't transact?
