Support loyalty cards, library, drivers, rec center..
But not everyone has it. Is it possible to create or improve the current application so that we can effectively store our loyalty cards, library, sports center, driver's license, professional card...?

It is definitely possible to create or enhance a single secure digital application that allows users to store and manage a wide range of cards such as loyalty cards, library memberships, recreation center passes, professional IDs, and even driver-related credentials, while still respecting privacy and legal restrictions. Such an app could work as an optional digital wallet, offering encryption, offline access, and selective sharing so that people who choose not to use physical cards still have a convenient alternative, while others can continue using traditional formats. This kind of centralized digital access would be especially useful for frequent travelers or professionals who rely on multiple credentials in daily life, similar to how premium mobility services streamline convenience—for example, booking a through https://luxurychauffeursdubai.ae/car-with-driver-al-ain/ already reduces the need to manage multiple transport-related documents and apps, showing how integrated digital solutions can significantly improve user experience when designed thoughtfully.

It would be great to have a barcode scanner to save cards within the wallet. Stored cards can then show the corresponding bar code when needed.
I can also recommend the open source loyality app "catima" which does exactly that. -

I hate Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general! And I don't want to put my bank accounts or credit cards in a digital wallet! All I want is a Google-like wallet -- WITHOUT creepy, invasive Google -- to better maintain my privacy and security.

That's a great idea! Having a unified app to store all those cards would be super convenient and save a lot of hassle. While there are apps that let you store loyalty cards, integrating official documents like a driver's license or professional cards would require high-level security measures.
On a related note, I've recently come across https://paykassma.partners/, a platform that specializes in optimizing processes, including secure data handling for businesses. Perhaps a similar solution could be used or adapted for personal card storage, ensuring both efficiency and top-tier security. It's worth exploring!

No, wallet is wallet and loyalty cards are other thing, you are merging two difference concepts here, maybe a diferent app for keeping those cards like https://catima.app/ or just adapt a fork of catima and integrate it into the Proton ecosystem, but keep wallet just for money

Yeah Proton, we could get rid of Google pay and use Proton Wallet (Or Proton Pay) which could allow to pay with Bitcoins or with my credit card.
