My suggestion is about monitoring every network connection made by apps / process, in real time. It doesn't have to be graphically elaborated but the idea is to know who/what established a network connection from which network adaptor, + Ip if applicable, protocol, time stamp, privilege, network port TO where (ip, and other information, usually outside the lan). The purpose is to be conscious of what communication are made in background of our personal computer such as, for exemple background active connections of a closed web browser, any IOT's, any network connection... In some cases, it could be an unknown connection made by an unknown user too. Being conscious of our own computing network activities is useful in order to protect yourself and take better decisions.
