I would like to be able to setup a profile or an OpenVPN configuration based on a region. Currently we can choose a connection in a country, or if we want it in a specific region, we have to select a specific server. This causes some issues.

If I setup my home router and I select the country configuration, it selects a server at random and could pick a server that's on the other side of the country. This introduces extra latency, compared to a server that's closer to me.

If I select a specific server, it might be fine at the moment, but later on the server load could end up being high or the server is down for maintenance. Since this configuration is setup in my router, I would have to redownload another server configuration and re-upload that to the router.

If I was able to select a region (like Sydney, Australia), it can select any server in that region and if a server goes down for maintenance, it picks another Sydney server. That way it will always pick a server that's in a region that I chose for reduced latency, but also able to redundantly pick another server.
