  3. Script managing WireGuard ProtonVPN for Linux using CLI only

    I've put together a POSIX shell script allowing you to use ProtonVPN in Linux using only the native wireguard and Linux core utils having the script managing all aspects of the network such as routing and which DNS server to use when the VPN is up or not.

    It works very well for me so I brushed it up with more thorough error handling, documentation and examples in case more people have an interest in it.

    Basically it allows you to generate any number of protonvpn-wg-configurations you like and put them in your /etc/wireguard folder, the script selects up one…

  7. carplay without disable kill switch

    Having kill switch is critical on my VPN as Apple does not drop connections.

    When I want to use Apple Maps,I need to be able to get in my car without the faff and security/privacy risks of disabling the kill switch just to use CarPlay.

    Also having more faff and CRITICALLY having to remember to re-enable it at destination makes this simply too painful to use

  8. Single Private/Public Key for Multiple Servers

    This is more for router setups than application base.

    When you setup a manual connection for a router, you generate a private/public key pair to use on individual servers. Unless you create multiple manually, then add endpoints for each, you are stuck with the one server until you manually change it.

    What I am proposing is a change to the config creation page. I would like to see it where you can select multiple servers and create one key pair for the router to identify on those servers. Then if the connection is bogged down you can easily switch to…

  12. Favorites Countries on Apple TV app

    on the apple tv app - If you could create a top new category like 'favorites' where we can add our preferred servers, then we would not have to scroll down trough the whole list to find the server to connect...

    A feature that lets premium users create virtual networks that others can join via a room code, link or something equivalent. This would make Proton VPN a private alternative to services like Hamachi, which are commonly used to play local multiplayer games online without having to deal with port forwarding.

    implement Oblivious DNS over HTTPS (oDOH) in order to protect privacy for DNS request making impossible for a DNS server to resolve the client/requestor.

    Bonjour,

    Lorsque je suis en voyage, je perds la capacité de mes différents devices (principalement laptop & téléphone) de communiquer entre eux, ce que je peux faire lorsque je suis "à la maison" avec mon routeur wifi.

    Du coup, je me demandais s'il était raisonablement possible de recréer cette facilité avec mes devices connectés à Proton VPN (avec le même compte Proton par exemple). Un genre de "Personal VPN" for all my stuff wherever I am. Ce qui pourrait aussi permettre de toujours laisser connecté le VPN, même à la maison.

  18. Android: work profiles with VPN possible

    at my work I have the possibility to activate a work profile to get all the business stuff I need, f.e. microsoft teams, outlook, etc. This works good as long as I stay in a country which is accepted. If not it would be blocked due to security reasons. If proton VPN could be use for work profiles, too, I could activate my work profiles to get access even in countries which are not secure.

    It should be a possibility in settings to activate/deactivate for work profile. Actually the traffic of work apps doesnt go through VPN.

  19. Connect to another owned endpoint running Proton VPN instead of a Proton server

    Have the ability to link two endpoints running Proton VPN together instead of exiting at a Proton server. For example, my computer is running Proton VPN and I would use my cellphone's Proton VPN to establish a direct tunnel between my devices, thus giving me acces to my computer. The Proton server would merely act as the initial connection broker.
    This would be an alternative usage of Proton VPN, similar to what zero-tier is doing.
