Longer pin
Proton Pass (Mobile - Android, and Firefox Extension) only allow for numbers that are 6 digits in length. This is not necessarily the most secure and it would good to allow for numbers that are 8 or more numbers.
EDIT: Users are logged out after 3 failed attempts to prevent against brute force attacks

In addition to allowing longer PINs, it would be great if we could set the PIN as an arbitrary string instead of being limited to numbers. For example, I would prefer to use a simple word as my PIN.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, in the meantime just wanted to share that the 6 digit pin will log you out after 3 failed attempts.

Proton Pass does - at least as of now - support 8 digit PINs on Android. But that sort of it makes it even more frustrating, since I want to use a PIN that is longer than 6 digits, but it also means that I cannot use the same PIN on my phone and in the browser.

Yes, considering this is amounts to a 'master password', a meagre 6 characters limited to digits only is insufficient. Change to password.

4 digits and more

I agree to that idea. Again, BitWarden is an example for this feature : you can choose from 4 to 8 digits to lock your vault if you do not want to use your main password. It should be a feature in Proton Pass too. I hope it will be the case in the future !

I really dislike the usage of pins. If they would increase the length, they should also allow normal passwords.

I agree with Y, I think that ProtonPass should add an option to use a password to unlock everything instead of a 6 digit PIN. I happen to use KeePassXC with a 34 character password and Bitwarden with a 35 character password.

Just allow passwords instead! :)
I use 30 character long passwd on keepass...
PINs are not very secure... -

I use a 14 digit pin for Bitwarden so this would be awesome
