More item types or templates
I would love to have more item types, wifi networks, lock combinations, memberships, software licences, etc
Or the ability to create item types and associated item templates.

Yes, it would be better if they allowed us to create "templates" with custom fields and we were not restricted to the templates they have, some of which are not customizable (like cards, you cannot add custom fields to that one).
So we can design a template we need (like the ones you are suggesting) and reuse them for other items of the same type.
Instead of they providing default templates (which are nice, they could even provide more such as templates for bank accounts and rewards - all with the ability to add custom fields).
But it would be awesome if a user could just create their own template to store whatever they need, in the form they prefer.
By the way, notes should be part of every template (like a field you could add or not depending on your needs).

Yes. I specifically like the idea of WiFi Networks

The general restriction to login, credit card, or generic text block also keeps me from moving to Proton - I don't want a separate password manager and everything else manager. What I really like about mSecure is that it comes with a lot of reusable templates and I can add a variety of fields if I need them.

I agree that more templates/item types are critical and would be a major benefit to all users! I’ve been using mSecure since 2015 and they currently have 27 different items to choose from… Bank Accts, Membership, Software License, Insurance Info, Prescriptions, Reward Programs, Insurance Info …just to name a few

I too would love to see a set of new Password/Secret types added. Coming from 1Password there are Identities, API Credentials, Software License Types, Drivers License, SSN, etc. That I find to be very handy in classifying my information.

I would just add on to this to say more flexibility - for instance, I can enter my credit card as a "credit card" but then I can't even put in a login, so now I need a separate file for my "credit card" info, and my credit card login. That's a hassle, and I like the credit card template so I prefer to use it if I could add the additional info.
It would also be nice to have the ability to add an image if this didn't cause too much data bloat.
