Mail with alias
Signed up for website using alias. Website responded that I am a bot and that I should contact them in case I think the message is unjustified. In order to mail them I would need to use the alias I created to stay consistent and not reveal my actual address. To the best of my knowledge that is not possible today.

Once an email alias is established, i would think it should be an easy thing for us to enter that address for any email that we wish to send. At some point after its entry as the "FROM" email address, you verify the alias as belonging to my account before allowing the email to be sent.

Just experienced this issue. I'm very surprised the ability to email (or reply from(?)) as alias is not already a part of this system.

You can't do this from the protonmail website or their new desktop app. But, if you use Thunderbird and treat the alias as a separate email account, you can send emails from the alias, and reply to emails and have it automatically use the alias as a reply from address.
I really wish Protonmail would handle aliases in a complete way, as other email providers handle them. They should be treated like separate email accounts.
Unfortunately, to use Thunderbird, you have to use the awful and unreliable ProtonMail bridge, which constantly creates new ways to break and new ways of destroying its cache that takes hours upon hours to resync.

I didn't have this problem yet, but yesterday I was thinking the same. Since simple login, proton pass and proton email are from the same ecosystem it should be a seamless experience. Once you save an alias on proton pass, you should have the possibility to use it as an email

it seems like it's possible, although, not straightforward. It's done via "simple login". You need to go to https://simplelogin.io/ , login with proton, click on the "contacts" of the alias and see the reverse-alias email. As I understand, that it's an alias, that _you_ need to send letter to, so that it gets sent from alias you logged in with

I would really like to see the ability to send email from ProtonMail using the alias. The issue is that you sign up for a service using an alias, then they email you and you are forced to respond with your real email. This is a major gap in the system I think.
Thanks for your consideration.

This ruined my Alias on a site.
How:
It wanted me to email them back from my alias, but I can't do that. -

This issue made aliases useless on a website.
