proton logout logs out proton pass extension
When i login to my proton account, do something, then log out, proton pass firefox extension is also logged out. this is quite a nuisance if the proton credentials are stored inside proton pass and nowhere else. had to reset my account today.

The reverse is also a problem. I don't want my entire browser to be logged into Proton (e.g. I open a new tab, go to Proton Mail, and I'm already logged in) as long as the Proton Pass browser extension is logged in. Partly I want to be able to log into other Proton Mail accounts, and partly I DON'T want anyone who walks up to my computer while the Pass extension is locked with a PIN but still technically logged in to be able to access my Proton accounts and data.

I don't understand why a SSO for all Proton products was considered a good idea. I want a unique password for Proton pass. I know I can add an additional password but then I have to remember two passwords. One to login to all Proton products and a second to get into my password vault. I want to keep my Proton recovery codes in my vault with all my other passwords and personal info etc.. I don't want to install a second password manager to store my proton login and recovery codes. I hope they change this.

I read on Proton's site that you shouldn't store Proton credentials in Proton Pass for this reason. I got caught out with it too. I'd prefer a local secure database I can still log into, offline, which doesn't depend on the online service, and needs independent credentials to sync or something like that. That way I have an accessible password vault regardless.

YES! Also I have to periodically re-enter Proton password and 2FA in the iOS app, so I now have to use a separate password manager/authenticator app just to loginto proton pass??
