Change the term "Master Password" to something more open and neutral
Such as "Proton Password," "Main Password," "Primary Password," etc.
Resoning:
The term "master password" has become frowned upon in some contexts due to its historical connotations and the potential for misinterpretation:
Historical Connotations: The term "master" has origins linked to dominance, control, and even slavery in some contexts. While this isn't the intention when used in technical contexts like "master password," many organizations and individuals are choosing to avoid terms that might evoke such associations to promote inclusivity and sensitivity.
Modern Inclusivity Trends: Many industries, particularly tech, are reevaluating language that could unintentionally reinforce outdated hierarchies or exclusions. Alternatives like "primary password" or "main password" convey the same meaning without potentially problematic undertones.
Misinterpretation: For non-technical users, the term "master password" might be unclear or intimidating. Clearer terms like "main password" can help ensure users understand its importance and purpose.
This shift aligns with broader efforts to use language that is clear, inclusive, and free from potentially negative connotations.
This could also tie in better with the use of the additional password phrasing.

I am fine with the term being changed to “Primary password” or “Main Password”.
But your reasoning because of racism and the term “Master” being offensive. Good grief!
Remember the wisdom you acquired when you were younger: “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” This timeless truth remains valid even in today’s world.
Like, come on, the term “Master Password” has no underlying use of racism. It is not directed towards anybody and nor is it trying to be offensive, and it doesn’t have any relevance to hierarchies, as a master password is not going to make you bow down to it. What are we going to do, sanitize the world of everyone’s grievances because they can’t stand up and face things that somehow give them unease? No! As no one should walk on eggshells. As that is how you lose freedom and it is never going to teach people how to deal with life. As there are always going to be challenges and uneasy situations that you must face…
So, are we also going to suggest that once you start practicing martial arts, you can no longer address your instructor as “master”?
But hey, if you want to say “Main Password” or another term is better than “Master Password”. Go right ahead. Make your argument.
But to equate something so important such as real racism to a word (which is being referred to as one primary password) that has no such negative impact or relevance to real racism on a person‘s ability to live is downright wrong and diminishes the severity of real racism that happens everyday.
